IS BUYING THE PS4 WORTH THE GRIND?
I have an xbox one and 3 32s of each class and every exotic but one. I admit I am a bit tempted due to the ps4 exclusives. But also, the majority of my friends are on PS4. If I buy it, I will certainly buy destiny along with it. Is it worth it? What do you guys think? Explain below!

Don't do it for the exclusives Xbox will get them anyway. But if you have more mates with a ps4 and not many on Xbox may be a consideration? I'd try to make more Xbox friends first though on lfg or whatever.

Xbox will get all exclusives in September with the [i]Fallen King[/i] DLC. I wouldn't recommend to switch the platform if you're satisfied. The only reason for me would be my friends. Notice: Playstation and PSN is really [i]different[/i] from Xbox and XBL. Maybe you should try Playstation on a friend's house and see if it fits.

"IS BUYING THE PS4 WORTH THE GRIND?" Depends. How much money do you make an hour? What are your bills like? Will it take 1 week, 2 weeks, or more to "grind" for the money to buy the PS? Now, the REgrind of Destiny once you grind for the cash to buy the PS, is another question.

Agree with below. I sold my Xbox for a PS3 for that reason. Playing with friends and making new online ones is what it's all about. Not regretted it although I have thought of getting a One too :)

If a majority of your friends are on ps4 that's reason enough to switch over.

Don't buy a console depending completely on Destiny. Friends are a major consideration. Also, the exclusive games; if they are things you want. I feel the urge every now and again, but I don't have the cash and marital equity to buy one. I'm not sure if I'd Destiny all over again...I don't have a billion hours like others who can comment. The only PS exclusive that I really want is Bloodbourne. After that, I'm pretty meh regarding the PS games. But that's just me!

1 ReplyPersonally I prefer the PS4. In my opinion it's the more capable machine and it runs Destiny better too. On the note that most of your friends are on the PS4 I would recommend changing just to play with mates. Most of my friends were XbOx gamers, as I was, but we all swapped to the PS4.

I have a ps4 I have no hawkmoon but yet I have a hawkmoon check my hunter it's an amazing gun in pvp I went 25-1 with it

To play it with your friends is more the reason i would if i were you. The strikes are fun too, but all the exclusives will be released in September anyway

I got the PS4 version for Hawkmoon and still don't have it since day one so no don't do it !

The only reason I would get it in your case is because your friends are on it. However, if you don't really care one way or another about playing with them then I would say no. A couple of exotics that you will get later this year are not worth $500 and the time you will have to re-invest.

11 RepliesThe only good xbox one exclusives out and coming out are Sunset Overdrive and Halo 5. Sunset Overdrive is a 20-50 hour game while Halo is being made by 343, so who knows how that will go. Ps4 however has some of the best games I've ever played that are exclusives. Bloodborne, Infamous Second Son mainly. Also every single game runs much better on ps4. Honestly, I wouldn't bother regrinding on destiny. But if you can sell your xbox for $250, I'd put it towards a ps4.

I bought a PS4 for the exclusives titles and for the timed exclusives on Destiny. But then I got my Platinum trophy for Destiny and all of the exotics (sans the Nechro) and got a little bored so I got it for the Xbox to play with friends on the Xbox. It has been a grind but I find it fun because I am forced to play the game different. For one thing I don't have my Gjallarcrutch on the Xbox so I am forced to try different tactics. All in all grinding the game out again has been a blast (until this iron banner lag fest). in just a few weeks I have three 32's now with iron banner gear I need to level and all achievements sans the Flawless Raider. I'm looking for a team to repeat that one with. So I say go for it. You get to experience Destiny a little differently and you will have the best of both worlds when it comes to console gaming.
