Got one this weekend, leveled it and took it out to the crucible. Looks great, sounds great, handles really well. But, where does it stand in the heads of Bungie's designers ? I mean, its not a long range weapon because it has no range and even with the stability maxed out its still all over the place. So it must be mid to close range right ? except... at that range even with crits flying off the guy's head you'll be melted by TLW or Felwinters before you've put enough damage to kill anything.
I mean, really. I'm sick tired of using Thorn and Hawkmoon and I want to take different weapons to the crucible. Hard light is the type of weapon I could see myself using for a long time. Its kind of the exotic version of the Shingen-E which I used for ages at the beginning of the game. But using it puts me at a very big disadvantage as soon as the other side is not complete duds with their handcannons. So its down to have some fun and don't care about losing or if I really want to win then I *have* to use specific weapons.
Where's that "there should be no obvious choice" Bungie kept mentioning ? I mean, come on, look around Bungie - there is nothing but THE choice if you want to compete.
Rant over I guess.

I rock that gellions demise and mida plus vision. Low time to kill awesome range. Great perks and you don't feel like a scrub using it cause no one uses scout rifles.
