Honestly I don't notice much of a difference between Truth's tracking and standard tracking on rocket launchers. Both are pretty strong. It seems to be more of the proxy det that lets Truth's rockets connect better. I was very disappointed that I couldn't lock on to a target, point my truth upwards and fire the rocket off like a Javelin. The rocket makes a huge arc to reach the target and will crash into the ground.
Edit: The fancy tracking loop Truth does isn't really impressive considering that both HoC and gjallarhorn are capable of such feats as well. Truth's tracking just doesn't feel special enough to be its main exotic perk.
Edit 2: Gotten some pretty good answers, but would be nice to have someone post a video of a Javelin truth shot. Can't seem to find one with a really nice straight shot downwards. Or at least some other neat Truth shots besides the goddamn loop around which every tracking launcher does.

Truth will turn corners for you, but really, that's about it. I'd rather just use a legendary with Proxy and Clown Cartridge than an exotic launcher in PvP. But for PvE... Truth holds 8 rockets. Was my go-to before I got my Gjallarhorn.
-
It has tracked me behind a wall before

Here you go. It's from a good while back.

I'll just leave this here...

Idk i dont have it yet

Ok so I was playing crucible and someone shot a truth rocket at me, so I got scared and ran. I ran right into a BD. I died and thought I was safe from the rocket. Wrong, the rocket did a loop in the sky and came down and hit me when I was in the middle of the respawn animation...............bruh
-
I wonder if turning off the velocity increasing perks on truth would increase the effectiveness of its tracking...
-
If your raiding no but in pvp it funny how people think they can out run it... It will find you and kill you
-
Love it
-
Best PvP launcher in the game hands down
-
Maybe I'm not using it right. After you aim at a target it does quick beeping to say that it has its target locked. Then you can aim up in the sky without exiting ads and it'll still track? What if, while I'm moving my sights upwards, it crosses the path of another enemy, will it change targets? How much time do you have to fire before it loses its target and you have to reacquire? Sorry for the dumb questions. I've used it but not in pvp and not in wide open pve maps yet. Seems like most strikes it's not that great since there's always ceilings or tight walls.

Used it on void burn weekly the other day fired at a minotaur it blinked away and truth did a 90 degree turn following it. My friend was like you got lucky hitting him and I was like nah Truth's tracking is great

Edited by redskins5050: 5/4/2015 3:59:05 PMThis is where my opinion on gjallarhorn come into play. Since both rockets have tracking and prox explosion it's a wash there. They both receive 4 rockets in crucible heavy. They both have similar blast radius and velocity. But then gally gets it's wolf pack rounds which completely blows truth out the water. It's unfair that gally get proxy explosions and tracking when it should be truths bread and butter. Getting rid of that hidden perk would be the closest thing to balancing out the gally. Then it would just be a HOC on steroids.

I've seen my truth turn completely around to track Sepiks prune and hit him
-
It isn't really needed, but you can see how good it is when you're shooting templar and he teleports. Truth follows the templar and hits him. Even though it doesn't do anything because of shield
-
Only god like for crucible.

Yes watch on YouTube "truth tricksy"

Edited by SatoSken: 5/4/2015 3:36:31 PMI was on skyshock, where the heavy spawns outside by A. There was a sniper on the far, far side by the cliff on C. I was running and was shot by the sniper, and I quickly turned, aimed, and fired truth at him. The reticule must have passed over him for a quarter of a second; I was just panic firing. Dude kept aiming his sniper at me trying to get a bead, then noticed the rocket coming at him. He jumped up the cliff face trying to dodge it. I watched the rocket literally do a 90 degree curve straight up the cliff face to kill the sniper. I out sniped a sniper with a rocket launcher. It was hilarious. Edit: When I say went up the cliff face, I mean the guy double jumped up and away from cliff right as the rocket was about to hit thinking he'd dodged it, but truth followed him ninety degrees up the wall, and then made a 180 out to get him as he was falling.

I wish I had it for pvp. Each time someone uses it on me I'm dead no matter what I do. I swear if I quit the game and went to orbit those tracking rockets would still follow me and kill me.
-
I have never seen the truth "go up" and "come back around" are you serious? Every Time I fire it the player goes behind a wall and the rocket his the wall....what am i doing wrong?
-
Truth is amazing with Crota when he runs and the Templar when he teleports.
-
When crota runs like a bitch to the left or right truth always hits him
-
While the tracking of other rockets work fine, the truth is meant for pvp. The phrase " it literally turns corners" is primarily with truth. Other rocket have a slower arc movement went turning, the truth chases on "intelligently" I will say.
