This game mode is certainly not for people with busy life who wants to get online once everything else has quieten down at the end of the day. It's hard to get your own friends online at the same time.
I hope the rewards are accessible from some other means.

Let's see how many will buy "destiny 2/comet" now most of us realise we are funding a complete game for a minority of players. Great big fan fair and hype, over a game mode I can't play.... They obviously don't want us to play there game...

Destiny cant decide whether it wants to be an arena shooter or MMO. It was advertised as both. It wants to be both and is failing horribly at both.
-
ToO will be very empty in short order and good luck finding matches with people somewhere close to you so the connection is not terrible. They are making a mistake with no optional match making.

Edited by Vikingspartan54: 5/5/2015 8:54:20 AMNot exactly you just have to buy the tickets, get energy, and bring your gear to top specification. Oh AND work as a team. Really though you just have to be adaptable and ready for anything as most tend to react in unpredictable ways. P.S. My advice do iron banner everytime it's active as it will ease you into pvp in addition to providing you very top tier equipment tailored for pvp.

Please move this type of stuff to #destiny next time

Who said you can't go in alone and take all three players on?.. Line wolf players are lone wolf because they're are in fact the best (Shin Malphur).. Who says you can't go on LFG or The 100, to organise a a me before you log on?.. And the reason Osiris was created is to iron out casual gamers, it's meant to be for the elite, if you aren't elite then there's always crucible or iron banner.. I've counted 10 ways so far to reach level 34 (could be wrong), losing one of those ways won't make a difference :)
-
Destinylfg.com This is how you will get groups quickly. And I know you have a life but there are other means of getting to 34. Trials gear and weapons aren't necessary for progression.

it really doesnt matter as long as cheating is allowed in matches.

I think it's a good thing; it caters to the hardcore PvP element and is what I had suggested was needed in several previous posts, i.e., Crucible 'Heavy'. So, well done Bungie! I also enjoyed watching the ToO stream match - that was pretty good, and surprisingly - fun! It would be great to be able to 'switch channels' to hear/see the other team's gameplay; and I can see Leagues arising with Local / Regional / National / Global Championship matches in the future! I know I would watch them! So, now that Crucible Heavy is sorted, it will (should) leave Crucible Light (regular mode) for those players that just want to have a bit of a blast without getting slaughtered by 6-man Fireteams of Bladedancer wannabe Ninjas hopping about like fleas - and just as irritating! We can have our fair share of that level of gameplay during IB, if desired. Chin-Up & Grind On, Guardians!

Maximum is 18 minutes per match. You need 7 wins for max reward and you can make the first win count twice. So that means in-between Friday and Tuesday you need to get two friends online for a total maximum of 162 minutes. That Is not even 30 minutes per day...... What is your point exactly?
-
You can play your way! As long as its our way.

In my opinion, Destiny is not a game for the 'lone wolf'. As a father of two with only a few hours in the evening to play on some days, I went to seek out communities with a similar mindset. I found Dads of Destiny, and that clan plus my existing friends have kept me playing Destiny. There is nearly always someone online for me to join up with. Raids are still tough, but three people is pretty easy. My advice to you would be to go looking for a clan with people in your timezone. You're not alone, guardian.

As a daily PVP player, I'm not much excited for the trials. Quick elimination matches that can and will be abused by cheap weapon perks, supers..etc.. Who knows, maybe I'm wrong but I think there will be loads of complaints rolling in once it starts. Hoping to see something great with Prison of Elders this Wednesday.
-
You just need a large enough friends list brother. I get requests to play way after I am ready to go to sleep lol. Finding friends is almost never a problem. OK, sometimes my friends are all engaged - but if I wait a few - it usually winds up with some of them joining me.
-
It's hard to find your friends online. Go find people who are available at those times rather than just giving up.
-
I think they'll have strikes also
-
Only sad part about there being so matchmaking is that my preset fireteam of 3 good players won't be able to destroy a set of ransoms XD It's a shame. Be glad there's no matchmaking. Ever gone against a fireteam of six in the crucible that was really good. Yeah it was fun wasn't it?
-
It's a tournament. Treat it as you would a real world tournament.
-
Probably not but it's become a more diverse game so not everyone will be able to succeed at everything
-
Im perfectly fine with it. Its a COMPETITIVE multiplayer mode. Intended for communication and cooperation. Think of it like this: Would you want a middle school quarter back to step in instead of the professional qb on your favorite team during the super bowl? I think not. As for the 'no friends no time' argument i keep seeing; its really not difficult to find a clan. The recruitment forum is literally 3 clicks away from this very page. Go see whose asking for players. Maybe even start your own clan. If you build it, they will come.

Forums!!

Yep any thing that is for "hard core" players are bad overall for the game. Less than 20% won't keep the servers running or better content coming.
-
I really dislike Bungie's flat out refusal for matchmaking. I get that you want people to have good teams, but having two of your friends doesn't make you a better team. If you want to bring your friends in, fine. But add matchmaking too. Every other MMO structure has it. It's the whole point of the game. For -blam!-s sake. It's not that hard
-
Since they are hell bent on making everything a pain in the ass to participate in HoW I'm jumping ship. I made a mistake in preordering, won't happen again. Makes you invested, waste of time and effort trying to lobby keeping the game playable for yourself. I'm done trying. I'm clearly not the age bracket they want.
-
Well it's a MMO so....

The Trials of Osiris by design actually caters to very few people that play Destiny, which makes very little sense.
