I am consistently having the problem of not being able to use my sniper compared to other special weapons and I have narrowed it down to the fact that my snipers don't start with as much ammo as others. Some spawn with 12 rounds, which is plenty, but some spawn with 6, which is a problem. Snipers are a lot more skill based than other weapons and lowering their starting ammo hurts it even more. All snipers should spawn with 12 rounds. It isn't fair that I spawn with 6 rounds in my sniper and 14 in my Felwinter's Lie...
[b]Edit 1:[/b] I have field scout and am using increased special weapon ammo perk on armor, I still spawn with 6 rounds and not 12.
[b]Edit 2:[/b] I'm not asking for snipers to have a buff in their ability. Nor am I asking for more ammo per a create. Those would break the gameplay. All I'm asking for is that all snipers spawn with 12 rounds and not some like PR and PaT with field scout spawn with 12 while LDR and Longbow Synthesis with field scout spawn with 6.
[b]Edit 3:[/b] I understand that field scout and armor perks should remain relevant so snipers should get 3 extra rounds per each perk which would get you to 12 rounds.
[b]Edit 4:[/b] I agree, last round perk is way too OP (and I think people that use it should die in a hole). Since all those snipers are 3 round per a mag, just make them spawn with a min of 6 rounds and a max of 9 (depending on armor/weapon perks). That should severely limit the amount of kills one can get.

I chose no. If you are so inflexible that you cannot transfer your skills from one sniper rifle to another, then it has to be tough luck. I am serious about sniping, so I have chosen to forgo the use of an exotic primary, in favour of Patience and Time.

I didn't vote because I can't really decide. I do know that sniper rifles with a higher impact spawn with less ammo because of the higher impact. It's opposite with lower impact snipers.

I found that the perk Double Down is the most crucible breaking perk as it spawns you with full reserve ammo at the start of the match. I have it on my spear with Field Scout and clown cartridge. Spawn with 6 in the mag and 23 in the reserve with the chance to load 8 rounds in the magazine instead of 6. It gives the recent ammo patch a big middle finger :) Reroll your weapons whiles IB is still here.

The problem is the map sizes, don't see the ammo needing change, some rifles have different perks that compensate for the small magazine. To be honest most scout rifles will do the job in this game.

3 round snipers should spawn 3-4 4 round snipers should spawn 4-3 5 round snipers should spawn 5-2 6 round snipers should spawn 6-1

It's because some have small clip sizes of like 3 and with a last round sniper if it has 12 rounds, thats 4 guaranteed kills.

I think we need maps big enough to actually use sniper rifles first other than patrol areas

The problem is the lack of maps for a sniper style. High ammo snipers are supposed to have less damage and be less accurate to make up for more ammo

Let's get real , you won't hit every shot , you might not get a headshot which might force you to body shot . So you will average 1-2 kills with a sniper but with felwinters you can get all 6 hits . Its uneven and needs a balance ASAP.

Patience & Time, you are not serious about sniping if you do not use this weapon. This weapon is hands-down, no dispute, the best PvP sniper in Destiny.

Considering everyone on the map can spawn with ammo in a sniper/shotgun, I find 6 sniper shots at spawn to be quite balanced.

Snipping doesnt belong in crucible, most of us see them as an annoyance that we need to go and shotgun them in the neck..then we continue our normal game.

Clip size is based on balancing factors when building the weapon so 2 full clips will suffice for me Praedyths FTW
