Iron Banner week, and I'm on vacation. Life Is Good.
I swear I didn't plan it this way. We reserve vacations in November and December where I work, for the next year. This is the week of my anniversary, so I wanted to be off work to celebrate with my wife.
Unfortunately, her boss is on stress leave and as a result, she is working 12-hour shifts all week to cover for the boss, so our well-laid plans are out the window. I am home all week with nothing to do but play video games 12 hours a day.
And it's Iron Banner week. =D
Honey, I SWEAR, I didn't plan this in advance... but I am SO taking advantage of it. I have a 20-pack of Coke Zero, a week's supply of snacks, and a 15-foot walk to the bathroom from where the PS4 is set up in our house. I'm gonna play until my eyes bleed. 3 characters to Rank 5. Helmets for everyone.
Life. Is. Good.

EDIT: Obviously I need to make one thing clear. My wife has been working this schedule every other week, then staying at home NOT working every other week, for 2 months now; while I have been working for 5 months without pause. So, yeah, it's rough to work in a kitchen for 12 hours straight, but when she's there, she's the boss, nobody tells her what to do, and she can sit down and take 20 when she needs to. Unlike in my job.
So, thanks for feeling sorry for my wife. But I needed a vacation in any case.

5 Replies15 foot walk to the bathroom? This isn't Busch League, mate. I've already strapped a tube to myself that leads straight into the toilet. I've strapped an IV of Mountain Dew to my arm for MLG abilities and all I have eaten for the past month is Doritos Locos Tacos (which gives both Dorito MLG powers and Taco Bell/Destiny advertising campaign Crucible bonus). I faked my own death to get off work and had to cut off my leg, but God as my witness I am getting those helmets.

I usually venture into the crucible solo whenever I feel like blastin guardian folks; but would honestly not want to do that for iron banner though. 8 RepliesHave a ball man! I took off work for a week last iron banner and took all three characters to level 5. If you don't have a team to run with, it can be frustrating at times, but still fun. Enjoy man, enjoy!

1 ReplyWell convenient wife dodge aside, Iron Banner is the ONLY crucible mode I play It's what the Crucible should be - bring your best andf your A game... My sole aim to get both armour elements, if im lucky enough to get the weapons as well then good for me otherwise my sole objective will be that sweet Titan Helm Enjoy yourself - I know I will!

Heading for the store now to pick up drinks, snacks etc. Hoping Saladin has a lot more goodies than just the Helms. Don't get me wrong, the helms are sweet, but I need Gauntlets for my Titan. Some great weapons would be nice too. Edit: Spelling LoL!
