Necrochasm[Getting buffed or not?]
I'm an optimist. Saw a lot of negativity towards it, so I took it into Crucible and tried it out for myself. I instantly understood why so many people think it needs an impact buff. I could not get a kill for the life of me with this gun. Every once in a blue moon, I'd see someone without a shield, or low on health, and sure.. get a kill then. But any other time I'd go 1v1 against someone, I always lost. This gun is absolute garbage. Every shot has to be a precision shot, but even then, if someone has more firepower, you'll still lose every time. The impact is so laughable considering the fact that this is an EXOTIC weapon. The other stats are fine, its just the impact that needs changed. I feel it should do at least 20-21 precision damage and 15-16 body damage. This would put it up to par with guns like Hard Light and Monte Carlo.. So my question to you all is... is this gun getting a buff in the future? Have the devs even acknowledged this piece of junk? This gun should be so much better considering the grind you have to put yourself through just to get it.

2 RepliesIf you think it's trash in PvP, try it in PvE. Turns Destiny into reloading simulator 2015. That being said, some dunce over the forums was trying to tell me thorn didn't need a nerf cause necrochasm beats it in PvP. Lets be real. Nothing beats thorn.

Nechrocasm is only valid until HoW comes out where every weapon will have same max damage. As it stands it has most damage so in Iron Banner it dominates ....

I have obtained a blue auto rifle with max rate of fire and no impact just like the Necro. I kept it though. It has Focused Fire on it like Suros. It shoots at a rate of fire that the Necro needs to shoot at. You know, do you can actually hit your shots. Sadly, while this blue weapon has an improved rate of fire with Focused Fire, it also does more damage. A 294 rare weapon doing more damage and has more accuracy than a 339 (I think) exotic weapon with basically the same stats. Come on now...

I know, right? I can't wait to wait for the comet release. By that time, the HoW "raid" exotic might be buffed as well.

I like how there are probably more posts about buffing the Necrochasm than there are about nerfing The Last Word. We know, Bungie knows, everybody knows it needs to be improved. Anyone who has ever used the weapon knows it's bad. It has been months and it hasn't been buffed yet. Who even cares anymore? We would have less than a month to enjoy the weapon until the 339 becomes meaningless. It's really just too late. I don't care if they buff it at this point.

Not only does the weapon itself need a buff but but auto rifles in general need one and the auto rifle archetype Nechrochasm is part of needs an even bigger buff! Whew! This sort of SMG auto rifle archetype probably needs to do more damage in general while having a nerf to range to balance it a bit.

They should make it so the stability is so high that it doesn't go up at all and so every kill explodes, even if it isn't a precision kill. Also buff the damage of all auto rifles of its archetype and buff auto rifles in general
