Destiny is completely broken
Edit: okay so you're probably wondering i made and edit all the way up here and that is because most people read my first reason and immediately think it's a gjallarhorn post or a post about me whining cause I can't get it, well it's not. So actually read it thoroughly and you'll understand. Also thank for 150+ replies!
The reason for this post is that I'm honestly tired of not finding anymore funny thread on forums everything is just about gjallarhorn and wether or not it should be sold... So I'm just gonna clear some things up.
The reason this game is broken is yours truly the GJALLARHORN. Notice how people are having a hard time doing raids and other activities cause of not having this weapon and being called a "scrub." This gun controls this entire game! That right there is enough evidence for me to call this game broken.
But if you need more then keep on reading.
Another reAson is because of the light level... It's -blam!-ing terrible. Are we honestly just gonna keep relying on gear to level up? A new player to this game can buy their way almost to max... Like what the -blam!- is that?!?!
Ok sorry about that but seriously this game takes no skill to get high level at all. I mean I get the idea they were thinking and it could be alright but it's just not good and especially since the gear you can buy keeps getting buffed in light level and getting easier to buy( no more commendations)
Now here's just a suggestion I had to better improve this system... Well actually completely change it Ina way that makes sense... GET RID OF IT AND LET US USE XP... Okay okay my bad on that one got a little carried away...
And now if that isn't enough for you (you must really have faith in bungee and this game) keep reading for more.
And probably my last reason for now is that everything in this game is random... Yes I know it makes sense in a way but how people 500-1000 hours can't even get one of their favorite guns just doesn't make sense, now I know that WOW (world of Warcraft) and LOL (league of legends) have this random loot drop as well. BUT, you get certain thing that you want from certain places, you can get an exotic from anything in this game almost, I mean that's stupid and I know I'm going to get hate for this but I honestly can't give any less -blam!-s... Oh geez I did it again my bad my bad guys... Well anyway Ya that, and so I think they should make it where you can only get like suros or red death from ROC and like bad juju and nechrochasm from Crotas end and vex and super good advice from vault ect ect ect.....
Now that's pretty much all, now if I find anything else I be sure I post it right here!

Where they got rng wrong is that everything is rng rather than some things All the games have the best exotics as just that something rare But destiny has basic gear as rng which no real game has Took a good idea and they made it really stupid although for how they said all gear has a path to get it. Which again is wrong as well I should be able to be a 34 through a direct path but the ramskull on fire that should be rng

Gjallarhorn really pisses people off. I have 3 (had 4 drop) and never once thought it was that cool to own it. Probably because I had one since October when nobody really cared.

When the game launched wasn't it possible to buy armor that took you to 26 out of 28? TDB kinda botched that letting people buy armor to get to 31 of 32, but now HoW is taking it back to where purchased armor will get you to 32/34.... Seems that's the way it's been since the beginning unless I'm missing something? The game isn't *broken*. You, and others, just don't like the way it's set up. And that's fine. That's your prerogative. But to say it's broken when millions of people are playing the bejesus out of it and thoroughly enjoying it is... Well.... Kind of silly.

I didn't have it for quite sometime and I was fine. To be honest it's so overhyped that when I did get it I was expecting a nude Kate upton to fly out and kill the darkness with her eye ball laser beams. It's a great gun but after hearing the pandemonium around it I was just like: ok then. So whoever is so bent out of shape about it either doesn't have it or thinks it's the pinnacle of destiny... Which is not true and they in fact need mental adjustment. Just my two cents...

Although i love playing devils advocate (annoying as hell to most but some might find it can lead to a good argument/ideas if open minded about it), this post does have some good points. I do like the idea of having more area or enemy unique drops like most other mmorpgs do. It may add more monotony to the grinding but it adds some character to the gameplay. I would probably fight omnigul more if I could actually get anything interesting out of that strike.

Not getting offended here but I have never kicked anyone for it having a ghorn. Most of the time we (my group and I) run raids now we take some newbies with us and run them through. Best moment ever was one kid got an icebreaker squealed and took off his head set in the background we hear him say "mom mom!!! I got the icebreaker!!!" I don't believe anyone should be kicked for not having a certain weapon. Besides you don't need the g horn to play or beat crota. And I happen to like the RNG system. It def has it's flaws and I agree there should be a higher drop chance doing certain activities. It took me a very long time to collect all the exotics and it would be nice if it were a little easier. I find a lot of people tend to lose hope knowing it's all up to rng with no extra drop chance.

What a coincidence. The only reason you think it's broken is because your salty. So what you got kicked from a game for not having gjallarhorn. Big deal. Spend 2 minutes to find another group or don't play. Your not the only one missing an exotic and just because your missing a good one doesn't mean you have to go on and on about how unfortunate you are and how if xur doesn't sell it it should be needed so you don't feel left out. I'm missing the rarest exotic in the game (Thunderlord) but that doesn't mean I whine on and on about how xur should sell it or how it should be nerfed because I don't have it. Grow up or get out. We have enough idiots here already.

2 RepliesOn the one side, I understand why they did drops this way. I mean you can experience the end game how you want, crucible, strikes, or raids. However, I do agree that it would be nice to have increased drop chances for certain exotics from certain enemies. I mean, they corps leave the drop chance in everything else and just increase the chance for Gjallarhorn to drop from like VoG, Devils lair, and tarwins gap. Same for all the other exotics with areas that maybe fit better with their origin

5 RepliesWho is having a hard time doing raids without Gjallarhorn? I'm missing three exotics, one being Gjallarhorn and am working on getting my 3rd character to 32 now. I've put 500+ hours in without one and it hasn't stopped me from enjoying anybody the endgame content thus far. Would I like to have it? Absolutely; but I do just fine on HM CE without it. I solo the abyss for my team, do the bridge and Deathsinger just fine, and run the sword when we get to Crota. The only thing I can't do without Gjallarhorn so far is solo Crota; and I saw a thread about how to solo him with Dragon's Breath so I'll probably give that a shot at some point in the next two weeks. Gjallarhorn is obviously awesome and I'd like to have one; but I don't let the fact that I haven't gotten one yet interfere with my enjoyment of the game.

4 RepliesHonestly the only time I use my Gjallarhorn is on Crota, it does make getting invites quicker in my opinion, but i rarely use it elsewhere, as someone else posted I find it much better using icebreaker and hunger or song of ir Yut as my heavy

Foaming at the mouth on the forums won't get you anything. Finding a raid group is not hard, find people and just do it, lots of groups don't require a gally, any rocket that has tracking will do fine. Hope you find something.
