First let me preface my post with the following: I hope that my comments only apply to a vocal, minority group on the forums. And I am very aware that many (hopefully most) of the contributors to these forums do not behave this way. But here goes. I suppose it may be asking too much of these forums to conduct themselves with a measure of respect and decorum. But I feel compelled to call-out some members of our community. The personal attacks and name calling of DeeJ need to stop. This guy is an employee, of a video game company….A GAME…and only JUST a game (get a life for Christ’s-sake). Doing a difficult job, of communicating, to what amounts to a community of disrespectful, immature, whiners. This weird, false-bravado that emerges because of the semi-anonymous nature of communicating on the internet/forums, does not give people the right to stage abusive, personal attacks on Bungie employees (ie DeeJ). None of you, who engage in posting these attacks, have the balls to say half of what you spew, If this guy where standing right in front of you. Why? Because calling someone and an ‘ASS-hole’ or a ‘Blamming liar’ to their face is not only socially unacceptable, but very likely to result in a punch to the mouth. I would like to see the community stand-up to these cowards, hiding behind their keyboards (probably in their underwear, mooching in their parents basements) when we see inappropriate, attack posts. I’m not saying people can’t report problems, or even criticize the game….just do so in a respectful manner. Every time I see one of these posts I’m embarrassed to be a gamer, because of how ‘some’ of you choose to behave and communicate. It’s in bad-taste, it’s rude, it’s inappropriate and accomplishes NOTHING!!! If you don’t like the game…..stop playing it, move on, play something else. And most importantly [b]stop trolling the forums[/b]. I will never understand why people spew so much hate and spend so much time on the forums about a game they don’t like???? Anyone else feel this way? Or are all gamers just a bunch of immature pricks?? God I hope not. End Rant.
