Added the poll just to see where you guys stand. I wanted to share with you guys some new mission concepts I came up with. -All of these bounties would be worth 40 xp, (50 xp with Nightfall bonus). -1 to 2 rare/legendary engrams would be possible rewards. (Similar to Roc Strikes) - Enemies would be leveled to be 2 levels below guardian level. (Enemies would be level 30 for a level 32 player.) SAVE THE HOSTAGE: "Message to any survivors out there. My name is ______. My ship crash landed 3 days ago and I was ambushed near _____. They're keeping me prisoner and I don't know how much longer they plan on keeping me alive. Please, come find me and help me back to my ship and I promise I'll make it worth your while." This bounty would be easy to create. Just make the hostage a randomly generated NPC, with a random voice, in a random location, just like the scouting bounties. Possible hostage locations: The Grotto, The World's Grave, The Buried City. TREASURE HUNTER: "Guardians in the tower lounge have been spreading rumors of buried treasure in this area. See if you can beat some answers out of local hostiles." -Kill local tier 1 enemies until a corrupted file drops. -Your ghost scans the file and gets "some broken coordinates" for a nearby chest. -You find the chest and inside is the first clue (like a scavenger hunt.) -You find the 2nd clue. -You find the 3rd and final clue. -All 3 clues form a map when pieced together. The map leads to the treasure. -The treasure is guarded by a sub-boss like the Devil Archon you face in the first mission (the one who comes out of the hole in the wall.) -Kill the boss for a guaranteed rare/legendary engram, plus 40-50 xp. COVERT OPERATIONS: "Commander Zavala speaking. Intel reports that _____ enemies have acquired crucial blueprints that could cripple our defenses. Infiltrate their base of operations, steal the intel, and make it back here in one piece WITHOUT being discovered and I'll make sure the Speaker hears about it." -A classic stealth mission. -Think gorgon cave, but on a patrol. -Enemies all move very slowly, and are non-aggressive as long as they do not see you. -Your ghost will hack their systems, turning out all the lights, making it easier for you to hide. As long as you remain in the dark, you will be undected. -Killing enemies will not trigger detection as long as there are no other enemies around to see it. -If you damage an enemy, but do not kill them fast enough, they will trigger an alarm, which causes hordes of enemies to arrive. -A meter will display detection level. Stepping into lit areas will increase DL. Killing enemies or stepping back into dark areas will reduce it. If DL reaches 100% you automatically lose. -Grab the intel and escape the enemy fortress to receive your reward! -Reward: 3 motes of light, cryptarch engram, and 40-50xp. [b]EDIT 1:[/b] Thank you for all of the replies! So far 86% say they like these ideas. Keep bumping and hopefully Bungie may notice us! Also, to clarify, these missions would grant 40-50 [b]faction reputation[/b], not experience.
