Bungie....you better issue an apology/Statement!
Hey guys.
Just to let you know that due to some small message in (or thought to be in) your new trailer that apparantly reads "Wheres Maddie?" small but growing numbers of halo fanboys are posting stuff on websites related to the disapperance of a kid in the UK named Madaline McCann.
Now i dont know how well you know the UK press....but they can be, say...reactionary at best. Especially about Maddie. All it would take is a few more posts and you can be sure you'll end up in a few of the red tops....and i assure you it wont be favourable to the Bungie cause. They love a good anti-gaming story.
You may want to issue a statement to people telling them to calm down before the press get hold of it. About 24 hours i reckon.
Just thought i'd warn you :)
P.s Ask Frankie if you want to know more about the British press...i'm sure he's got some horror stories..

Shut up, Bungie just put the name Maddie in, That is thousands of people and it is a fictuanl charicater in a video game, The comunity is the one that commented on that so.... Bungie has nothing to say sorry about. [Edited on 09.25.2008 9:36 AM PDT]

Video games are not real life. Why the hell should they issue a apology? They more than likely didn't just add this to the trailer right when this happend. I would think it was in the works for some time and that was the name that was in it to start with.

No they don't need to issue an apology. Madaline McCann went missing over a year ago. How many children go missing every year, if they used any name there could be a parent somewhere saying the same thing, why should Madaline McCann be treated any differently? Bungie is a company in the US and has nothing to do with Madaline McCann in the UK. If this was done last year here in the UK then yes, it would be insensitive but it's not so shoosh! Bungie didn't mess up any wording. http://www.bebo.com/Profile.jsp?MemberId=4038796495 35 minutes before the teaser was even released a person by the name of 'SI' or 'John O'Connor' posted "Keep it clean" in the comment section with his profile picture Superintendant. The SI phrase "Maddie, where are you?" was never released prior to the trailer, this leads me to believe Bungie was either trying to give a lead to more information through the message, or bring attention to the little girl.

Madeline Mcanne.... no-one cares anymore. im sorry, but her parents left her alone while they got drunk. They should know better (apparently theyre doctors). Yes, its terrible what happened, but why the hell should bungie apologise just because they said 'Wheres maddie'?
