Rules on trending

Can the mechanics of maintaining a trending thread be revealed? I had a trending thread suddenly go from 3rd to not on this list. Is there a mechanic that only allows persistent trending topics to stay or was I ninjaed? This is also a request to get more transparency in forum moderation. I see many people getting ninja or suspended and have no idea why. It would be nice to have some of this clarified and it would also help diswage the perception bungie bungie is just a big brother grooming the forums how they see fit. This would also help stop repeat offenses simply because they actually know why it happened

I am not a Bungie employee and us fans do not have specific info regarding the "mechanics" and mysteries of Trending, but it seems your thread wasn't removed by a Ninja. Forum moderators remove content that violates Bungie's forum Code of Conduct. Consider reading up on it if you are concerned about breaking those terms, and of course, please "Report" inappropriate posts that you believe aren't in line with the Code of Conduct. Though, I can offer insight to what I have personally observed in the forums. "Likes" and replies to any topic will typically help it maintain its stay under the Trending filter, whereas the Latest filter sorts threads only by most recently created or most recently replied to. When other fresh topics become popular with likes/replies, the Trending filter tends to arrange those threads by most recent and most popular.
