Why can't we have any Competitive crucible mode?

Why? Like srsly, what is the problem? Leave all modes for people who don't want to play competitive and give PvP players something worth playing. What would be a problem here? It wouldn't effect any other player who doesn't want to play competitive because it would be a separate mode. [b]Destiny needs a competitive mode: - 1 special ammo per match, - no supers, - no heavy, - blocked blinking, - blocked shoulder charge, - blocked the most annoying sticky granades.[/b] and in addition to it, we need: - private matches/clan wars, - ranking system, - lag-free servers, (dedicated servers so peopl can buy lag-free ones) The mode where GUNPLAY (damn skill) is the most important factor, not no skill pointless supers or grandes.     • I have said this multiple times, but having been a competitive multiplayer gamer for the last decade, I don't feel like Destiny was made to compete with the multiplayer giants (halo, cod, battlefield). I think crucible was put into the game in anticipation of users wanting to test their guns/abilities/supers against other humans. My best example is games like Bioshock 2 and Uncharted 2 adding in PvP modes in a game that was primarily for the PvE crowd. I mean the modes were there and people played them, but to the developers it was just another way to sell DLC packs and continue to keep a player base after the campaign part of the game was complete. TL;DR: Don't try to make the crucible into the next MLG experience. It will always fall short of that due to the backbone is was made off of.

      • The only thing I want is a ranked playlist. A place for us who want to chase that carrot. It's fun for competitive people to have rankings and it would not hurt anyone who did not want to play in it.

        • I just want a barebones type playlist where everyone is put in with the same stats and access to the same loadouts so there's no supers, no grenades, no special melee, no jump abilities, everyone moves the same speed etc. And everyone has a pick of the same weapons - only then can we truly see who is more skilled at pvp.

          • What about search and destroy with a relic in the middle of the map. In the beginning of the match one person gets chosen and everyone has to protect him because he is the only one who can capture the relic. If he dies. Instant loss. If a relic gets captured for 10 seconds. Win for the capturing team. Is this something good?

            • Why not have a fresh match not a match where your team you got put on ISNT FÚĆKING 10000 POINTS BEHIND AND WASTES YOUR TIME

            • Only problem I have with this is a measly 1 special crate per match, and no heavy. There should be a centralized heavy spawn once per game, and there should be special spawns every 3 minutes. You've got to remember, heavy could be game changing if tact is incorporated. And secondaries have a place in competitive play, just not when used as primaries.

              • All that is fine. Supers are fun to use. Only thing that needs fixed is ammo control and It will be more competitive.

                • There's nothing wrong with supers,heavy, and so on. It doesn't take any competitiveness away from the game, its just how it works. BUT allowing players to bring in weapons that are RANDOMLY given (meaning some have them and some don't) - THAT is what prevents this game from being truly competitive and fair. Make a mode where you can only use weapons from the Tower vendors and go from there.

                  • I agree with a ranking system, that would be nice. But the rest of your suggestions are pure ass. Spend more time adapting and less time crying about blink etc etc. But that's my opinion.

                      You need supers in a competitive match, it allows for teams to choose classes wisely, and you need more than one special ammo drop per match, but not as many as there are now, and you can't remove grenades that's just stupid, heavy once per game, and machine guns only, no rockets. I have ideas for a competitive rule set but I really can't be bothered typing it here.

                      • I like where your going but I think we should keep the shoulder charge, blink, grenades because it's an important part of what keeps the classes unique and balanced

                        • When I posted a similar comment, I was told to go play COD. I see where you're going with your post, but I have to disagree with some of it. Some of those aspects are what separate Destiny from shooters like COD. Both are games of mastering the mechanics and building muscle memory, and I would argue that skill is nothing more than practice and some inherent good reflexes/reaction time. So stripping Destiny of things like sticky grenades because they're annoying is a step backward towards a more basic shooter game like COD. That said, I'm all for standardization so that the PvP can be competitive without being too unbalanced.
