New gear level system?

So this probably won't happen but here it goes. I've noticed a lot of threads on the forums talking about how people want endgame armor that's unique. (not just raid or IB gear) So I though of something that sounds pretty good. Personally I fell in love with the new monarchy armor because I had a full set. but then when I decided I needed to get to level 32 I had to slowly replace each piece with the Crota gear, which looks alright on my hunter but I'm not super fond of it. Instead of making everyone wear the same gear, I think it would be great if you could get your raid/IB gear to level 32, then transfer the light level to any legendary gear you want (after paying with some materials and/or glimmer). So instead of the raid gear being the only thing you see, it could be used as a catalyst to get your desired gear to 32. There's my ramble. Let me hear what you guys have to say

  • A dude I played with (forgot his psn at the moment) had an idea to have an outfit box like ne next to each of your armor boxes would be a secondary box in with you put the armor you would like to look like in and in your normal armour slots you put the gear you want to apply to your stats but not your look would be cool too look like whatever gear you want but still get the benefits of all your raid gear

      • Raid rewards= infusion of light= placed on any piece of armor, gets bumped to legendary with random stat roll, and can get you to max level. Problem solved.

      • This has been thought of, and actually someone made a video of ingame showing this off. Honestly, I like the diversity, that's why I like that there are so many different cloaks for the hunter to change up a appearance a little. You can get the feeling that bungie went sort of the same direction as WoW, as far as gearing goes. In WoW the better the gear you acquired the higher your gear score was. And to get the best gear you had to do the hardest raids in the game. And unfortunately it was the same, everyone to an extent looked the same. But that gear took months and months to acquire, it wasn't easy by any means. Another thing they could have done was release 2-3 different raids at once that let you acquire 32 light, that way you had 3 sets of gear to equip that let you reach light level 32.
