I see it all the time, people praise the horde of replies they receive as some sort of divine gift that they're blessed with for making an interesting post by making edits thanking everybody for replying. Why do people become so ecstatic over causing forum controversy?
For example:
OMG we hit 1000 replies! Keep this bumped guardians! Thank you so much!
Or
Wow! 500 replies! I love all of these tears you guardians are giving me, keep em coming.
Dude, we can read how many replies you have, no need to make a giant deal out of it.
Not trying to be a dick, just making an observation.

I don't make edits about that kind of crap, but I make edits if I need to clarify something in my post or otherwise add something to it.Those reply edits are so annoying and they make most posts 10x longer than they need to be.

What gets accomplished from making threads at all? Hardly anything.

Edited by tjustie: 4/27/2015 8:00:32 PMBecause it expresses gratitude. Edit: OMG 1 reply thank you so much!

It's like asking why people like Floyd Mayweather post pics of themselves surrounded by cars or money etc. Small man/woman syndrome.
