Some tips for players looking to level a second (or third) character: Realize that, since you ALREADY HAVE a character at cap, you can choose your subclass immediately. Hold onto the weapons you get from the Gold Chests! These weapons are pretty beastly when maxed out and on a low level character. Hold onto the Stranger's Rifle! This can be equipped at 16 and just mows down everything, including your fellow Guardians in the crucible! Consider running some lower level strikes on your main. Completing Devil's Lair or Summoning Pits without dying can net you some nice level 10-12 blue weapons, and armor if you're looking to level a duplicate class. Save up some engrams. Assuming you don't already have a full set of legendary gear awaiting your fresh 20, the Cryptarch can, with some luck, hand you some decent rare gear, and the class materials from scrapping it all is a nice bonus. Do your bounties, starting at level 4! This is faster and, frankly, less boring than chain running story missions for the nth time. When you get to a new planet on a character, try getting to the gold chests ASAP, these can drop some nice blue gear for you.
