So I got a refurbished Xbox One and Destiny for Christmas. I could have gotten the cheaper bundle one with Assassin's creed but my parents apparently bought the Xbox way back in October for $500. Major facepalm, but that's not the point.
A few weeks after we started using the Xbox it started doing strange things, randomly disconnecting from Xbox live, kicking me out of the game, error codes, but these were (mostly) issues with the Xbox itself, not Destiny. So after contacting Microsoft customer support multiple times on an ONLINE CHAT ROOM which is apparently the only way you can troubleshoot, we finally got an exchange order for our Xbox. They sent us another refurbished one, and we had to send the other one back to get a refund. We received very specific instructions on how the old Xbox was to be packaged, with specific box dimensions, packaging peanuts and other things. Yet the Xbox we received in the mail a week after the exchange order was to my surprise put into a box that was too large, without any packaging peanuts or anything like that, it was just wrapped in a thin sheet of plastic.
So of course it was damaged and it ended up being completely unusable. My mom has yet to return both Xboxes for a refund, so I haven't been able to play Destiny for over a month. Just wanted to share this story.
Edit: Also if anyone reads this (probably won't) and is also on Xbo Xbox I'd like to hear if you've heard of things like this happening before
