(A branch storyline of the Destiny RP thread.)
La'haar and his team stood outside the massive circular gate to the Vault Of Glass. Deep within was Atheon, Time's Conflux. Killing it would provide an unbelievable tactical advantage. Dark clouds appeared, and from within came dozens of Vex. The team moved out, and prepared to capture the Sync Plates.

This would've been fun but it's over.
-
Some time past, the the pillar disappeared. "Wh- where did it go??"
-
Korvic continued to provide covering fire from his position, shooting down any of the strange vex before they could reach the others.
-
She stayed clear of the green stuff, stopping when she saw a Vex crouch near a tall, white-glowing pillar, starting to glow white itself. What is it doing...? Of course, she didn't let it stay alive, and killed it before she fed her curiosity. Surely, it wasn't doing anything good. "I suggest we keep the Vex away from this thing..."
-
La'haar and Archimedes entered the stone arena. Suddenly, a horde of damaged Vex appeared. A green mist was about them, and when destroyed they created a puddle of sludge. "We're gonna need some help down here!"
-
Most of the team seems to be pondering the nature of the Vault. La'haar finally explains. "Most people think time is a straight line of cause and effect. But in reality, it's a big ball of Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey stuff."

Edited by Moonlight: 3/31/2015 10:34:36 AMSanguine took this time, once they were down to one of the last platforms overlooking the Templar's Well, to recall what she knew of the Vault. A place that is a time before or after the stars...Come on, damn you! Make sense! Growling quietly and gripping onto her helmet, she nearly threatened to rip it off her head and toss it aside. But all she did was let out another annoyed sound.
-
"Daina. Help Sanguine and Korvic. Archimedes and I will scout out the bottom level. If we aren't back in a reasonable amount of time, we're dead. If we come back up, we'll take up sniping positions. Archimedes will be in the center, and I'll help Korvic on the right. You and Sanguine will take left."
-
"We're going to need a few designated snipers. Which one of you is the best shot?"
-
Korvic pulls his ice breaker from his inventory. "Anybody else happen to have one of these? They're going to come in handy later on."
-
She knew that she was thinking too much. Knew she was giving herself a head, and because of this, she had to crouch down for a moment.
-
Korvic jumps down to the lower platform.
-
Comes up to some marble like blocks jutting out from the cave wall, they descend lower into the vault. "This is were... IT is..."
-
"Oh geez! Someone, please snipe the vex!" Dominic says as the Vex surround him.
-
"There were 4 of us... No 5... 6. I can't even remember their names... Let alone what they even looked like. Who they were..."
-
They tried for hours through the dark cavern, and La'haar was very talkative.
-
Chucks an arcbolt grenade, disorienting a praetorian and killing a couple more goblins. He repeatedly blink strikes the minotaur until his knife breaks through to the back end.
-
Finally, the Spire activates and fires a beam at the gate. It slowly opens, and the Guardians stare in awe. They enter, and Daina asks. "So what's the deal with this Vault?" La'haar answers. "From what I can gather, it's a bunch of Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey stuff." "Stop quoting stuff."
-
Stops small talking when a beam from a hobgoblin's line rifle grazes his face. "Ah! Damn..." gotta stay focussed
-
Looks towards the spire, still forming... "Keep at it!"
-
Korvic holstered his hand cannon and drew his knife. He took a deep breath, letting the arc energy flow through him and into his blade. In an instant he was darting from vex to vex, cutting them down in a matter of seconds. Each kill replenishing his light, extending the duration of his arc blade. After the final vex in his path fell, the Lightning surrounding him dissipates.
-
An alien laser struck La'haar, and he cursed about the blood stain on his cloak. "That's gonna leave a mark." He ignored the pain, and kept firing. Eventually, it became too unbearable, and he stopped to treat the wound. He zoomed back in, and kept firing.
-
Sanguine went to the sync plate right of the Vault's gate. Giggling quietly, she picked off some of the Vex that spawned, pausing for a brief moment to look at the Minotaur that had spawned. This was no usual Minotaur. She knew this.
-
La'haar filled himself with Solar light, and unleashed a trio of golden bullets. A Pratorean fell, screeching. A well placed tripmine grenade destroyed a half dozen Goblins.
-
Korvic watches on from a nearby cliff through the scope of his sniper rifle. i have to help them, or else they'll end up just like.... Whoever they were... he takes down a praetorian within six rounds of his sniper's magazine.
