Will the Vex become outdated?
In the massive exotic patch back in December, Bungie had raised the damage level for the Vex Mythoclast from 300 to 323. I am hoping with the HoW expansion that is upon us soon, the Mythoclast will still continue to receive love.
Lots of people have given up on the Vex as of the recent unintentional nerf. I still frequently use it and it takes second place on favorite exotics.
Im hoping that our Mythoclasts will receive a new damage upgrade to accommodate new levels.
The Vex reminds me of the Carbine from Halo but buffed up, the Carbine was my all time favorite gun and thus the Vex follows suit.
Don't leave it behind Bungie.... Please. :(

I think it will however I believe they will give Guardians a chance to complete the VOG on a higher level so that you can receive the weapons and armour with greater power and greater light

Personally I think all guns should have stayed 300. Why can't 300 just be an arbitrary maxed out number that coincides with your light level....300 plus light level 30 is max damage against 30 and so on.

This is all speculation, but at some point when new raids are added i can see them adding new difficulties to old raids that bring them on par with one another in terms of gear/difficulty level but still not as hard as the new raid. An example of this is them adding a new vog that goes to level 33 light. The new fallen raid would start at level 33 light most likely, but then the new hard raid would still be the tier one raid at 36 or so. A couple raid groups i have been with have said that the old gear including the old faction/vanguard armor/weapons are likely to return at some point with higher light levels. It doesnt make sense eliminating so much content in this game from being relevant.

The gun sucks anyways. Just hang it on your wall as a trophy.

Upgrade the fatebringer by far the best hand canon with its arc damage and firefly. That got out dated with the first dlc. With the new dlc it will be useless.

9 RepliesI think they should update all raid weapons to the new standard and when they raise vendor gear to lvl 33, they should update crota raid gear to match. If not all raid stuff, the Vex should definitely get an upgrade. Since it's an exotic, it should be treated like the rest of them.

It's already a thing of the past all legendaries and exotics except the Mythoclast and VoG weapons are 331. It was nerfed into oblivion and forgotten about.

It's absolutely the best and funnest gun in destiny to use in my opinion and I agree with you. I've done a few posts about this and I hope ppl will continue posting about it bc the gun is awesome. Needs to be buffed and made upgradeable for HOW. Great post keep them going so bungie will take notice.

I think it will be left behind among with all other raid weapons - but who knows. Look at it from the bright side though, Vex Mythoclast will always be better than Necrochasm, even though its lower attack value ;)

The vex and the Necro are only Trophy Guns. I want both to ne buffed but i believe its Never going to Happen. Same will Happen With the HoW RAID exotic.
