I love my sunsinger. Hands down best class. But can someone explain to me how self-res is a good option in PvP? Why not Radiant Skin? You don't have to die, and your more durable so you'll be less likely to die.
PvE I understand it's a second chance, however, to higher skilled players who don't die, I feel it's a wasted perk. Am I missing something here?

Tbh, I use it for fun. Claws of Ahamkara gets me 2+ kills when I res in a group, and that just tickles the hell out of me. I do well enough with my guns and non-radiance grenades, so I don't worry about maximum damage with my super. Could I do better with Radiant Skin? Possibly, but I'm not curious enough or so hard up for kills that I want to change a playstyle that is currently working for me.

While there are other options (I prefer Voidwalker in PvP), self rez can be fun if used appropriately. Most people won't pay attention to the ghost hovering above the death site. It's fun to watch your enemies flock to capture a point and everyone of them has their back to you. Pop self rez and set the world on fire. It's also fun to use on tbaggers. They don't normally expect you to spring back into life to return the favor. You're right, though. Radiant Skin is a much better use for Sunsinger in PvP. Anything that can tank a GG shot has to be good.

Yes, self Rez is a primarily PvE perk, and can save nightfalls, but has only one use in pvp. Die, let the team walk by, Rez and hit them with fusion grenades
-
Just wait till HoW we get an exotic that blinds people when you self res... T-baggers literally won't see what hit them!
-
First... You find yourself a tea bagger... Then you roast his...
-
It's just not the best option against smart opponents. Sure, you can catch someone off guard, especially if you don't res immediately. My experience is that you'll find yourself not using your super nearly as often as you might normally.
-
Self rez is great in control
-
Yes, because if you dont die often, use voidwalker. Way more fun
-
It's not good in pvp. It's useless, actually.
-
So imagine you were rushed by a group of 3 on a control point. You were killed so you wait for all of them to turn their back. Then you rise from the ashes and kill them and recapture the point.
-
Good for Control.

Nope.

Yea self res is kinda useless in pvp to me. Rather be voidwalker
-
Get into riskier situations. More fun then play normally when you don't have it. High risk = high reward

Edited by SAGE THE 3RD: 3/30/2015 6:34:47 PMRadiant skin is much better...... but sunsinger in pvp is very useful....paired with the best grenades and armor that can give an extra grenade...more cool down, or a second scorch charge you're raining hell on the battlefield.....U ARE HEAVY AMMO
-
Died by heavy on blind watch rumble as heavy was inbound. Waited 8 seconds to self res. got heavy, killed 6 to win.
-
Anytime someone self revives, I just shotgun melee, Machine gun, or super them and kill them immediately. It's a wasted perk.
-
Sun singer only good in nightfall or raids
-
It let's you play around with less caution.
-
I think its a wasted perk as well. But when the ram drops I could see it being used even more often with some strategy and team coordination involved. I do like when they revive and I'm ready with my shotgun or I'll pop radiance too and come out of top because of radiant skin.
-
The self res is a neat idea but situational, second chances are what I feel it's made for and if you're a decent player you'd use it way more for just making orbs for teammates from adds in raids or strikes.
-
You can get behind the enemy and catch them off guard. Easy kills with melee and close quarter grenade spam. You by default have some damage resistance when your super is up so you would still be a tank.
-
I'm not a fan of sunsinger in pvp, unless your gear produces grenades super fast, it takes to long in comparison to the golden gun for hunters. Use Voidwalker.
