New LFG Site

Let me start by saying I am by no means an avid Destiny playing Guardian. However, a few friends and I have played the game enough to experience the fun, frustration, and every sentiment in between that seems to be attached to ultimately enjoying the gameplay of Destiny. While I have continued to play with some frequency, my fellow clan comrades have fallen by the wayside and are now experiencing what seems to be a common feeling, which I refer to as the “Waiting on the Next DLC” phase. I liken these experiences to an anecdote that my Dad once told me after my then girlfriend of two years broke up with me on my birthday, over the phone, three days before she went to Costa Rica (where I was planning to propose)… The opposite of love is not hate; its indifference. While many Guardians, including myself, speak of the disappointment and hatred associated with Destiny, I view this as nothing but jaded love. Much like my whore g/f from college, I have found it extremely hard to let go. I am disappointed by their failed potentials. For example, - They both promised awesome threesomes. - After hot starts with Daily, Weekly, Night(fall), and a special weekend rewards, which gave amazing Gjallahorn, opened their Vaults of Glass to my Icebreaker, and buffed the good ol’ Suros Regime, there has been more disappointment then good times. - And let’s be honest, they’ve both gotten fat and sloppy. Throwing their weight around, not listening to you after you gave them $60 for a good time. Instead of using the money for a gym membership like they should’ve they wasted it and are still trying to -blam!- you and your friends out of your next $60. All this being said, unlike other guardians that have taken a break to reassess the relationship and its long-term potential or have become indifferent to its success or failure, I am actually still in love with Destiny. For this reason, I have convinced my best friend and a few other astute gamers to collectively work on a simple tool that we hope will provide a spark to the dying flame. We have established a simple matchmaking tool known as Smatch. The goal of Smatch is simple: to match Guardians through a “smart” matchmaking setup, alleviating the current challenges associated with putting together groups to complete events such as Raids and Weekly Events. Currently, this site is still in its beta. Our current setup is simple and to the point. Eventually we are hoping to take all of the feedback we receive from our users and integrate these awesome ideas in with our smart matchmaking system to provide all Guardians with the ability to navigate through the drop off in clan member participation in Raids or the hassle of trying to solo a Nightfall. And for those Guardians that hop back on the saddle after the next DLC drops, our tool promises to provide much more effective matching of Guardians by playing style than other options. Give http://www.smatchin.com/ a go!

  • Looks OK on mobile (android/chrome). A few alignment issues but nothing that breaks the site. My first real feedback is that I have 2x32 and a 31.5 covering all 3 classes so is there a need for more options than just Hunter or Warlock or Titan ?
