Alright so I know that once engrams are earned they can only decode into gear that is/was part of the loot table from when you found them. However I'm curious about reward packages from the factions. Lately I've been saving up my rewards packages that I've earned from leveling up my crucible, vanguard, cryptarch rank and etc. because I've heard that if you wait to decode these packages until after HoW dlc drops, that the packs could decode into new gear from the dlc. I've also heard that is not true and doesn't really work. I'm not sure which is true and I'd just like some clarification. So, can rewards packages that are earned from the factions now, decode into new HoW gear later after the dlc drops?
