Math of Vault Space Update

I think this is great. For those of you that are complaining that the Vault Space upgrade is "too small", here are the facts: (Forthcoming) New Vault Limits: Weapons – 36 Armor – 24 Misc - 24 Per Guardian limits: Weapons - 30 total (10 each) (Primary, Special, and Heavy) (one equipped) Armor - 40 total (10 each) (Helmet, Gauntlets, Chest, and Legs) (one equipped) Weapons: All current weapons combined (Exotics, Iron Banner, Crota's End, and VOG) equals 51 total weapons. This means that with only one guardian, and the vault, you can hold 66 weapons. 15 more than all the current, relative weapons in the game. With two Guardians you can hold 96 weapons. 45 more than all the current, relative weapons in the game. With three Guardians you can hold 126 weapons. 75 more than all the current, relative weapons in the game. Armor: All current armor pieces combined (Exotics, Iron Banner, Crota's End, and VOG) equals 66 total pieces. This means that with only one guardian, and the vault, you can hold 64 pieces. 1 less than all the current, relative pieces in the game. TL:DR- This update should only upset Collectors and they have a valid reason to be irked by it. But for the overwhelming majority of us, we will live.

  • Here is the problem with your math. Our Guardians are not mules. We shouldn't be using our inventory as storage. That is what the vault should be for and that is the problem. I only take the weapons I use into combat, they ones I don't stay in my vault.
