More vault space!? Jokes on us
Really bungie!? Really!? You added 16 more slots for guns! That's it! Wow this is one big joke. My vault will be filled within 2 weeks of HoW. I always have faith in you bungie but this time you -blam!-ed us.
Edit - people need to relax. You're bringing my complaint to a whole bother level. Attacking me personally when I'm just upset about the fact we waiting for months for a disappointing vault update. Like I said before o always back bungie up. But this time I just can't. No need to attack me in a way to put me down.
Edit 2 - wow this is getting out of hand. I guess an opinion is attacked if it's not the same as your own. Watch out for this community. Any negativity and they attack you on a personal level

2 RepliesYou know you can put guns on characters right? 10 primaries (9 +1 equipped) 10 specials 10 heavies X3 characters That is 90 guns Add the vault space we will have of 36 That's 126. You are telling me you have over 126 guns stored? You can store 30 primaries 30 specials and 30 heavies on characters alone Edit : Just some additional math for you There are two raids with 9 weapons each That's 18 guns Let's just pretend there are 30 exotics(which is rounding up. There's actually 20 something exotics) That puts you at 48 slots. That's just a tad more than a third of what you can store with 3 characters and the vault. Just over half of your space if you only used characters to hold stuff Edit 2 Let's not forget lost items can hold up to 20 items before it removes old lost items. So now you have 146 slots

3 RepliesIf you bothered to actually read the update, this is a temporary solution, they know it's not the fix that most players have been begging for. If they had said "You asked for more vault space, so here it is, you're welcome!" then I would definitely agree with your post, but they didn't. They acknowledged that this is only a short term fix to add vault space for HoW, and a better more robust fix should be coming (admittedly, eventually.) So, are you thankful for the extra space we are getting? Or would you rather wait months and months more for a better vault upgrade, without this extra space in the meantime?

2 RepliesFuuk vault space ......they needed to handle more important things that actually matter ....fire team voice chat,team voice chat,gameplay,PvP buggz,better drops from raids ,when we enter the tower we should be able to hear everyone with no issue bungie stated that they wanted destiny to b a (social) and fun game to play all they did was make it twice as boring 20$ for each dlc fukin rip off and every week playing the same dumb fukin missions lol thank u bungie exactly wat we wanted to get bored of thiz game faster than call of duty ghost.....and I'm out

1 ReplyI have 8 guns in my vault right now. I also have free space on each character for new drops. I have 90% of the exotics, 99% of the raid guns, and a good selection of awesome legendaries. I also cleaned house the other day. I decided I don't need 3 VoCs, or mythos. I got rid of a few guns with lackluster perks. I almost always delete repeats. I don't hoard guns. Seriously, some of these people need therapy. 36 slots is more than enough, and they stated its a short term fix. Meaning they'll be increasing it again in the future.

1 Reply16 slots almost doubles the vault, that's a pretty stupid complaint. A more logical one would be that that only 4 more general items will not be sufficient.

1 ReplyI'm with you on this one. I guess I'm one of those minority players that they talk about in the update post, because not that I like to have repeats but I do like to have several options with different perks and different element types per weapon subclass. It's not about hoarding it's about optimizing for a given scenario. If I have one say Jolders Hammer four instance why not have three of them with every element? And I think that this is the issue with most of the players who have to constantly switch loot from player to vault player to vault player to vault over and over and over it's because they're playing the game smart not because they are hoarding. This is got to be the laziest possible update to the vault that they could have done or that anybody that I've played with could have conceived of. It's almost like everybody on the development team has been getting drunk for the past two months and finally it came crunch time and they got sober and said hey you know how we gotta give em more vault space? -blam!- 'em let's just make the icons smaller and add another row. The one thing I'll give them though is that it was so pathetic it did make me laugh. So at least there's that. End rant.

It is funny that everyone throws out the comparisons to other loot based games. Coming from games like WoW and Diablo, selecting which gear to keep and drop/sell/dismantle was always part of the game. Both of those games had space limitations, and no where near enough space to store every high powered weapon/armor in the game. Again, the way Bungie designed it is true of nearly every "loot" based game out there. Every other game I have played with loot involved making decisions.

The absolute minimum for vault space should be enough for all exotics + all raid weapons + all IB weapons. That's all the trophy weapons. Then + enough to cater for a couple of favourite guns of each type × 3 to have ideal setup for each burn on nightfalls. I think that's around 60 slots.

4 RepliesI"m not sure what the problem is. We will now have 36 weapon slots in the vault, along with 30 weapon slots per character. So if you have three characters, that 126 weapon slots. How many do you need???

Personally any increase to vault space 5gat I don't have to pay for I'll take happily. Sure you want more, but it's not that bad. Not with the 9 slots each character gets too. Unless you like playing with duplicate weapons and collect every weapon the game has ever produced, I think you should be fairly satisfied. There aren't many that I have more than 1 of per character. Like to change it up.

I needed more misc vault space. I've been working to try and collect every shader and that plus all the different upgrade materials means I'm constantly having to micromanage my vault and inventory deleting things id rather keep. Not to mention trying to save up consumables and the 200 glimmer items as rainy day funds. I was hoping for expansion to at least 100 spaces. The vault app has made storing stuff on other characters a little easier but I would still prefer to keep stuff all in one place to limit my time spent navigating the app on my phone.

2 RepliesThey should have just made the vault one big vault ! No separating armor guns and materials ! One big vault 60 spaces for what ever you want and let you move things around and organize how you want ! But I guess that is just to difficult.

7 RepliesPlease note that bungie did state that this was researched and they found that a very small minority of players actually have vault spaces that are truly full. They did also find that most players are starting to push their vault space limits by only having about 4 slots available in their vault space. So these players will have 20 free slots now. I think this is a great job done by Bungie. I am sure they will look at the vault space again but this is what could be done quickly and within the limits provided by the older systems. Me personally I have a whole nother character I could create to make additional vault space. If you have all 3 characters with weapons then you should have a massive amount of space available to you at this time.
