https://youtu.be/LLXYf4bUC80 Around 1 month ago i bought a PS Vita purely for the intent of playing my PS4 games on it, The ps vita games is just a bonus to me. I was a bit skeptical before I bought it considering the screen is smaller than a tv and also the controller does not look like a ps4 controller. However after regularly been using it for the past month I am very happy with my purchase. My wife can use the tv whenever she want, I don't need to use it to play destiny. It's nice to be able to play wherever i want in the house, in good weather it's pretty awesome to play in the yard. I can connect trough the internet and pretty much play wherever in the world I am. Tried once connecting trough my cellphone in the parking lot of a food store. Was pretty funny. :) With full brightness on the screen and with headset i can get around 6 hours of playing before i need to charge again. The only downside Ive noticed are the 2 "joysticks" which is not at all like the ps4. In the beginning i could not use some weapons like for example sniple rifle was almost impossible, however after a month I'm almost as good on Vita now with sniper, as on my ps4 controller. Sooo anyway TL:DR: PS vita remote play is awesome! Anyone else out there also using it?

  • I just picked up a Vita. Only thing I can't figure out is how to honk on my Sparrow. Any insight? I'm probably missing something simple. IDK.

  • Can I leave my PS4 on at home and play at work that's about 20-30miles away from my ps4 as long as the ps4 is connected to the internet and my vita is connected to wifi?

    • I do every once and a while. I have connection issues sometimes because my internet so I'll get like 5 seconds of lag every 2 minutes. Don't really use it for anything more than patrols.

    • I think the problem with Remote Play on a Vita are the crappy controls of the Vita compared to the Dual Shock 4. Some games are almost impossible to play or at least on higher difficulties. I got an Xperia Z3, which is way better because now you can use the Dual Shock 4, but I feel that when connected to the Xperia the gamepad is not as responsive as it normally is. I wish they would just add the option to use the phone as a screen and keep the controller connected to the PS4...

      • Yeah but I only do simple stuff like patrols with it. Those sticks are terrible. They really need DS4 compatibility with a clip to hold the Vita on like they have with the new Xperia phones and tablets.

      • Someone on youtube showed how you can somewhat extend the stick height by using ear buds. It's not the greatest, but it works and is better than anything else out there.

      • When on a business trip for a few weeks. I played Destiny in California while my PS4 was in Washington. It worked pretty well and dropped infrequently. However, your upload / download speed on both ends are important. I knew certain wifi networks would give me more trouble than others. For instance, I had to pair it with a hotspot on my phone, and I got pretty good playtime. However, my internet connection on my PS4 might drop below 5mb/s upstream and then it all went to shit. My biggest complaint about the system is the lack of range for remote play in the same household. You use Wi-Fi once you get a certain distance, but for whatever reason, Sony didn't make a protocol where it uses the WLAN once you're outside of BT range. In other words (since I moved last month) if I walk into the bedroom, my current ISP connection is so shitty, that I can't remote play...because again...it tries to use my internet connection to remotely access, instead of just pairing over WLAN.

      • been remote playing since Destiny release. Very handy for the family man who cant hog the tv all night. My K/D in crucible is shite because of it, but it is really good for dailies. hardest content I've done with it is Vog normal. Not brave/dumb enough to try HM with it.

Ive just tried it the button layout is hard to get a hang of and the screen size makes it difficult but will keep persevering and see will make the wife happy she can have the tv back

          • I love it for just doing some bounties in bed before I go to sleep. I would never raid like that though.

          • Remote play is great for strikes & daily missions. I haven't tried anything big on it, but there's almost no lag. It does take a few minutes to get used to the controls, but if you're a game-junkie like I am it's a nifty way to play whenever you feel like it.

          • Just bought a sony z3 phone for remote play, always been a samsung man until this feature and tossed between z3 and vita. Works great on my z3 and I pair my ps4 controller to it so no stick control issues for me.

          • I just bought a Vita for remote play with destiny also. The joysticks do take a little bit of getting used to, but overall it works very well. Mostly, I use my Vita for bounties and strikes. It's nice to be able to play anywhere in the house. It not only frees up to TV but allows me to be with the rest of the family. It's easy to do bounties while laying in bed and hanging out. I highly recommend it!

          • I use it for bounties and running strikes mostly. I'm very interested to see how the new updates to ps4 and vita improve the gameplay. Now we get 60 fps. I have even run NF on it in the past. Just requires more patience.

          • I tried remote play on my playstation TV and controller lag made it unplayable. Is there any controller lag playing through vita?
