Instead of waving dancing sitting hot key the primary secondary and heavy ammo synth in stead of pausing the game scrolling to the next screen and waiting for it to load it takes to much time when you are getting shot up .

Somebody already made a great video about how to implement a hot key for ammo synth, and it's perfect... Just give us an option to hold down X when the gun is completely empty and it uses a synth for the weapon type you are holding. Simple and it doesn't take up any of the dpad buttons that are already being used for social interactions..

Hotkeys should be assigned to ghost. Press back/select to pull him up. X to get sparrow, y to go to orbit. RT for primary, RB for secondary, LB for heavy, and LT to scan (reveals boss' weakspot? Reads grimoire? Rumbles if materials are nearby?). D pad is reserved for enemy glimmer bonuses and the click sticks manage chat. I think that covers what ghost should do.

i think you get 4 hot keys, and can choose from using synth swapping weapons or the orriganal emotes. i have a weird mental block for using synth, i almost never touch it, but i would love to be able to swap weapons.
-
Save some space on that d-pad for weapon swapping, yo.
-
Or have a list of hot key binds to choose from, and have more customizable experience. List some ideas peeps.

Edited by cuzzybubba1: 3/27/2015 2:25:31 PMThis is desperately needed, the dancing and stupid waves were a horrible idea. How on earth when dev'ing this game did they think that was the best use of the d-pad?!?! D-Pad should quick use set synthesis and also load outs for weapons.

Great idea, love it
-
Make it a dpad hot key with the ghost pulled out. Still fast that way
-
Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right Circle X to instant kill Crota

This and maybe to bring up a fast communication list so you can signal to others for help or if there is a chest. I try letting folks know when they're near but i just look like an idiot flapping around trying to get them to notice. So many other MMOs have a drop down list of 3 or 4 fast communication options.

dancing and pointing are FAR more valuable. i aint gonna wait to get my buggy on.
-
or at least make it an option...
-
That's an effing SWEET idea, you never ever EVER need to dance on the fly, but synthing on the fly would be... Well... Fly
-
Or they can keep the d Pad but maybe bring up a mini I game menu with select to get your sunthesis

Just have the left d-pad hotkey set up for it. No one used pointing for anything anyway. And I guess we can just hold it down for 2 seconds and it uses a synthesis for the weapon type we currently have equipped.
-
But how will we dance?

I agree with this. But I think u should be able to click one of the sticks to cycle thru social hotkeys, combat hotkeys, etc.

If they'd just allow full program freedom. I would key mine so down is weapon selection, hold down then I'd hit right trig to cycle primary weapon choices, left trig for secondary, and right bumper for heavy. Right would be synth, with the same trigger/bumper selections for weapon types.

Oh hell yeah! Bump!

Agree. The D-pad needs to be useful and emotes gave no benefit in the game. I'd rather have the D-pad do 4 submenu choices: Up: primary weapon selection Down: consumable selection Left: secondary weapon selection Right: heavy weapon selection Don't forget to remove the other STUPID thing: ammo penalty for swapping guns. Because Bungie has made swapping guns so difficult and time consuming and 50% reduction in ammo each time IS the real reason the gun stats are skewed. Bungie FORCES players to use the best overall gun OR penalize you for swapping. Just imagine if most of us didn't have an IB. We would lose more money buying synths. We all can agree Bungie's #1 goal with every patch and DLC is to keep increasing grinding for the same or less content. That's why they only allow radiant materials to be collected in weekly raids. Their focus is so wrong I hope it gets fixed. Yes, the tumbler was a fun sparrow but it offered no benefit to the actual game. It's as useless as emotes. It's like they think these things are more important than bugs, vault space, content, etc. You all know... things that actually increase the odds of a large player base to stay around and play. Console games like Skyrim, Borderlands, Diablo, DC Universe Online, etc. all figured that out and still are being played. Will Destiny join them or fade to black in about a year like COD and other games with very short lifespans.

It's cheap as hell and won't happen

People have been asking about/for that since the Beta... somehow, I don't think they're working too hard on implementing it.
