Week 15, No sign of Black Hammer
I have searched far and wide for the extremely elusive "Black Hammer", forged from the skull of dead thrall. This exquisite beauty of a Sniper has yet to rest in the hands of the great Chaos. Crota will be the bane of my existence yet, the monster has died from the blade I wield far more than what should be sufficient.
The shards I am gaining through this deviant task far out way the odds of the mysterious beast dropping. This has been a very long and tedious task but i have come too far to give up now.
The mystically unexplainable cause for the weapon i cannot wield has no remorse for me.
I shall continue to search and explore to find the one thing i truly and utterly desire.

My will to acquire this rifle is beginning to fade. There isn't much more i can do that will increase the likelihood of me obtaining this formidable weapon. There has to be some way i can increase my chances. My mentality is diminishing. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. I am becoming more unstable each week.

I can't get either ship for Crota to drop. I'm fine with that (compared to chasing a specific weapon - I was able to get the ones I wanted fairly early on) but the RNG just doesn't feel all that random sometimes.

Got my first one week 1 then nothing until week 13 got 2 more.

I have fewer than 10 Crota completions, and haven't played this game in months. I have one. Isn't RNG fun?

1 ReplyI feel you. Me and my friend 2 maned crota yesterday. It was worth the 15 minutes of my time to 2 man CE and get black hammer! Just try to have fun with it.

2 RepliesEdited by shadiestkhronos: 4/22/2015 12:54:16 PMThe way I see is that black hammer drops more often for those who just started playing crota if you haven't already got one good luck, same goes for hoc if you haven't already gotton one within the first couple of completion it becomes harder to get. All three of my cherector got hunger but no bh or swordbreaker, and those Hungar that I got was from the first couple of completion now it won't even drop it for me. I know this is true because weeks after weeks I'll have a newbie to help and complete crota and guess what they either get Hungar or black hammer while I am butt hurt.

Solo'd crota 3x since reset and for each character I got: Sword Breaker HOC Black Hammer ( literally just got it ) You will get your desired Black Hammer soon. Happy hunting :)

I solo crotas end for the first time with my titan for the rewards. Trying to get another black hammer, get icebreaker instead

I got my black hammer on my titan on the 18th week, so friggin happy. Now i all need is the crux and I will then have all the crota weapons.

Try this, it worked for me but is a bit of a pain. I heard that certain characters may not have a specific item in their loot table. May be BS but who knows with this game. After hearing this I decided to delete a character and create another. After 37 normal completion I had yet to get the BH and was hoping for another Hunger cause I haven't seen that one drop for me in a long time. On my second clear with the new character I finally get the BH, then the next week I get Hunger, and the following week 2 more BH's with the other characters. It's a pain but it was worth it for this weapon. Now Gally can be equipped more often. Good luck

I have around 50 normal mode clears and still no BH. RNG is a cruel mistress.
