Gun balance, let's work it out.

Some exotics are just... Bad. So I have some remedy for them. No Land Beyond Arguably the worst exotic, Bungie could make it balanced by doing these things: 1; Mulligan works 50% of the time 2; More impact and general damage (20%) 3; No lens flare in PvP Hard Light This one needs help: 1; Rounds ricochet 3 times instead of two 2; More impact and range. Necrochasm 1; Increase damage by 15% 2; Magazine increased to 68 Dragon's Breath 1; Solar flare sticks to enemies. Will add more if thread takes off, leave comments for these balances below! I think these buffs are needed. Do you? Edit: PvP weapon status should be separated from PvE status. (If thorn is nerfed in PvP, not in PvE)

    • Hard light: leave it as it is stat-wise, but add arc or void damage. This will give it the exotic feel and a situational boost in pve

      • All they need to do to balance PvP is lower TTK for all weapons: HC 2 hit kill, head (or 1 body, 1 head). 3 shot kill, body. Scouts 2 shot, head. 3-4 shot body (or 1 head, 2 body). High impact Autos 3-4 shot kill (head) 5-7 shot (body). Low impact Autos 5-9 shot, head 10-15 shot, body. Pulse 3 shot (one burst) kill, head. 5-6 shot kill, body. Shotties/Fusion/snipers No change, roll back shotgun/fusion nerf to pre 1.1.1 Rockets No Change. Only 1-2 rockets from a heavy package. Larger lethal blast radius. HMG 2-3 shot kill, less ammo from heavy package. This would result in shoot first, kill first scenarios. It would make shotties/fusions the situational weapons they were intended to be. An auto user would have a close quarters ability to kill a shotgun user before the shottie closes distance to shotgun kill range. There would, unfortunately, be more camping. Heavy weapons would be less decisive in determining the match outcome. I think it would'nt be necessary to lose heavy ammo on death, as an auto/pulse could have more of a fighting chance vs a HMG. Supers would be less of a factor. Ammo for secondaries and primaries should be less, but re-gen to default spawn loadout on death. Secondary ammo packages should give less ammo, and have random/less frequent spawns. Nerfing is not the answer. Doing so only increases the difference in TTK between unbalanced weapons. This is why Destiny's current PvP is the unbalanced corn shooter vs death ray contest it is now.

              • Might as well remove the red light from the scope on No Land Beyond.

To be totally honest, Hardlight is not as bad as everyone thinks. Buffing this weapon would be super dangerous, as even a slight change could be super detrimental, possibly overpowering the weapon. An example of this is you can actually bounce rounds off a back wall and send them into your target for a second time, causing an insane amount of damage. (So I've observed. Hard to get a read on whether or not this is 100% factual) While this isn't absurdly strong in PvE, angling your shots right to double your damage on a PvP enemy is a huge deal, so even a small impact adjustment could have big results. I personally think that if they wanted to "buff" it, they should allow Hardlight to penetrate Cabal shields and Hydra shields, thus giving it an actual level of uniqueness. As it stands right now, it doesn't really do anything special for an exotic quality weapon. Having Hardlight be the only weapon that can pierce hydra shields would be really cool without totally breaking the weapon while still making it unique. Imagine being able to shoot through a detainment sphere while still destroying it, helping your buddies out at the same time, or maybe getting some chip damage on the Templar while your relic holder charges a super. Just an idea. I was personally disappointed that a lot of the "myths" behind this weapon are in fact false, such as Hardlight being able to penetrate Ward of Dawn with direct hits, and shots cannot pass though Hydra shields or Cabal shields; total bummer. I am biased though, since this is seriously my favorite gun in the game. I don't want it to get buffed only to be nerfed again, so I'm hoping it's nothing too ridiculous if they do decide to beef it up a little. -Fixed grammar and accuracy of statements.

                      • The best balance would be to put ALL weapons back to pre-nerf status, then separate PvP weapons from PvE weapons. But that's too much work for the lazy ass Bunghole devs. Just my .02c
