*Thought Why do so many people use invisibility? All it does against real people(not AI) is make you slightly harder to see so unless theyre already in a gunfight or arent paying attention theyll probably see you immediately if they dont already know that youre coming from the sound When I do pvp on my hunter(and if i use bladedancer) I use quick draw or fleet footed in the place of shadowjack, encore in the place of stalker, and backstab in the place of escape artist(its a one hit melee from behind if your blink strike is charged) Do more people fall for it than I think? Does it hide you from the radar and I just never noticed?

  • I never use invisibility in PvP, it's useless. As a Hunter I know what works and doesn't work due to playing against other Hunters. It's rather easy to kill a Bladedancer, I actually feel it's too easy. It still surprises me how many people complain about nerfing Bladedancers. It's probably the easiest super to counter or avoid. You can super them, shotgun + melee, machine gun, rocket launcher, or just blink away from them. Anyway back on topic, it's useless to use invisibility, players can easily see you.

  • I got ninja'd by an invisibility user once. Ever other time has been an "I See You" ribbon.

  • I thought it makes you look like you are crouching so u blink on the radar.

  • The only times I've been killed by someone invisible I would have been killed by them anyway.

  • If you use it behind something then there is a chance that enemies will just pass you without noticing you allowing you to kill them with ease from behind Other than that it cheats something some players rely on... the radar

  • I do this to sneak up behind groups. I am able to get closer without being noticed on radar. The shimmering effect isn't why I do it because most players still see you coming but some players I can walk right up to almost.

  • I only use invisibility for arc blade, when it ends, I use invisibility.

  • It absolutely can help in PvP, as it changes your pulse on the radar. Also, don't underestimate the fact that it hides your name plate and can actually be difficult to see against certain backdrops. This is a game about firing first - a small bit of hesitation on someone else's part can win a fight for you, even if they aren't completely fooled. If you have team support, it is that much easier to take advantage of it. That being said, escape artist is worthless in PvP, so I'm referring more to Stalker and Vanish. Lately, I've been running fleet footed and hungering blade, with the main difference being hungering blade keeping me alive during my specials, but when I did run Stalker I fooled people quite a bit.

    • People fall for it all the time. Experienced players catch you. Average players almost never.

    • I run pretty much the exact build as you for pvp except I use hungering blade instead of encore, and honestly I feel like invisibility was not intended to be used for pvp anyways. For a long time I never used quick draw because I was unsure of what it did but I put it on and realized it was made for pvp, I mean its crazy quick.

    • Invisibility does indeed take you off the radar, which is why people use it. However it is highly looked down upon, similarly to the blink/shotgun, since it's a really cheap and cowardly way to play, plus most of the time it doesn't work since people can still see you. I use quickdraw and hungering blade on all my loadouts. I recommend hungering blade for you instead of encore, since encore just barely brings the super bar back up a bit for one kill, and you're rarely gonna get over 3 kills per arcblade. Hungering blade is really useful in arcblade because you immediately get health back after a kill to get you ready for the next guy, plus it even works for melee when you're not in super.

    • Actually it's pretty helpful, you disappear from radar allowing you to actually sneak up on foes you know are chasing you. Just don't go invisible when they already know where you are and don't run straight at them from in front of them cause they will see you. Personally, I don't use it, I prefer blink (ruins invis), razor edge, fast twitch, and hungering blade.

    • you can probably take this a step further and not wear bright shaders or class items, theres been times where I get a kill on someone that I wouldnt have seen otherwise if it werent for their glowhoo or class item. example in vid at 1:50 - titan wearing light of the great prism

    • I use invisibilit in PVE not PVP. Reason being is cause it's useful during nightfalls and stuff when ur last man standing and you need those revives in the middle of 10 fallen caps or something. PVP no because gunslinger op xD Jk bladedancer is good but I don't use invis in pvp. People notice me too often and radar makes it redundant. Maybe if inferno comes along again. Sometimes though the invis hunters do catch me offgaurd.
