Episode 7: Kabr's Directive Kabr traded blows with Skolas, The wolf Kell's blows had already smashed Toland through a wall, and were beginning to drain Kabr. ‎ "Give it up Guardian, it's hopeless to even think of killing me" Skolas roared as he smashed two of his fists into Kabr, sending him back into the hall. An explosion rocked the cell block, making Skolas pause long enough for Kabr to get an upper hand. "It's not hopeless, it's probability" Kabr grunted "the Vex understand that not everything will happen as planned, and they are machines" "This means nothing to me" Skolas growled, and smashed all four fists, sending Kabr flying. "Do you know why the Vex did not eliminate me? I was at their mercy, but they don't understand mercy, they understand directives" He rose up, and headbutted Skolas, stunning him long enough to rain blows down on his head. "The Vex couldn't understand me, so they changed me, gave me directives, I cannot die naturally, unless my purpose ends, and it won't" His helmet's Vex eye started to glow, and Kabr's voice became mechanical "Activate TALOS combat protocol, engage target with extreme prejudice" he smashed Skolas with a headbutt, and proceeded to hammer away with his shield. He begun to gain the upper hand, beating Skolas into the walls. Before he could finish off Skolas, and explosion rocked the prison, knocking Kabr away and giving Skolas enough time to run. Kabr rose up, about to pursue Skolas, when he suddenly heard a click behind him. He turned, just in time to roll out of the way of Walker cannonfire. The cannon tracked Kabr, firing at each cover he hid behind as he fired back with his Mythoclast, melting Shanks as they popped out of the walkers ports. "Target; Fallen Wolf Walker, priority; immediate, success rate; 45%, WARNING!, proceed with caution" After running out of cover, the cannon rested on Kabr, and began to charge up. Kabr raised his shield, creating an energy bubble to protect him. The barrel then exploded, and Dredgen Yor clambered out of the walker, hurdling a squirming Dreg out of the gunner seat. Kabr noticed his presence for the first time and was amazed how much damage the Bladedancer had caused without Kabr even noticing his existence. "Where is Toland?" Dredgen grunted, sheathing his new sword as he gutted the Dreg with his knife. "Subject was thrown through the wall, No current location or information" Kabr grimaced from the data-milk flow, that suddenly ceased as his trance ended, he slowly got to his feet. "What happened to your opponent? "He had a superb blade, but misplaced morals. He paid with his life, and now his blade is mine" "Skolas escaped, we need-" "I know" Dredgen nodded, and Kabr looked towards the wall where Toland had been thrown through, wondering where he had gone. _______________________________________ To be continued...
