This is a serious suggestion. A lot of people on the forums having been saying the same thing and I have to agree...
In any PvE mission, i.e. raids, strikes, story missions, there is a level lock because typically 3 or more levels away from the mission cap it is deemed "Impossible". This is due to stats and weapons being nerfed so much that no damage can be done...
If Iron Banner was to follow suit then the access cap would be max level (32) - 3. Meaning minimum requirements to participate within the Iron Banner would be 29. I realize and understand we want to give everyone access, but the reality is when you have several level 24-29 players on a team that team will almost inevitably lose.
Why not raise the permissible access cap to 29 or 30 and actually make the Iron Banner fun for everyone? I can't imagine people going in at anything less will A) Have Fun. & B) Be able to complete any of the bounties. It would make the grinding that much more difficult and tedious...
Just a few thoughts...

And don't get me started on the stat boost buff that shouldn't be anywhere near a "Highly Competitive" pvp event.

It's not like there is a level advantage anyways. I got OHK by a shoulder charging level 25 Titan.

Edited by Hawk, The Maidenless: 3/19/2015 6:34:32 PMIn the 2nd or 3rd IB they tried this. Didn't really stick. I have taken off all of my armor and played as a level 20 in IB. I do about 3 less damage per headshot with the vex
Showing that lower levels are at a disadvantage. Its very slight, but in combat that could mean death to the level 20
