Are faction bounties all tied to Crucible play, or are there also PvE bounties, as well? Which Faction might you recommend to a PvE player?

Edited by R3mOt3K1ll4: 3/20/2015 3:59:04 PMthey're not really "pvp" factions, it's just you have to play pvp to get the marks to buy armor from them so choose whichever you want...

It's a damn pain in the Arse! I've got 39 (I think?) Crucible commendations I can do Jack Shit with because I don't play PVP. The faction currency needs looking at.

A cursory glance at some of the faction gear reveals to me that it's not much (or any) better than the raid gear and exotics. I put off deciding on a faction because it all seemed geared toward PvP. I see now, that it's somewhat balanced between the two, PvP and PvE. I guess I'll give it a go, which will slow down my Vanguard rep., but that's looking a little less attractive as well once one gets to 31. Thanks, all, for your responses. It's helped me to sort this out.

When you wear faction Class Armor, ANY and ALL reputation gains are applied to that faction no matter the activity.

Umm well with Dead Orbit, New Monarchy, and Future War Cult, you equiped thier items and it ranks up in PvP and PvE.

Bounties are not faction specific, All bounties are either Vanguard or crucible, if you were a specific factions mark, cloak or bond you will get rep for that faction instead of rep for vanguard or crucible.

See which faction has the armor or weapons you like. You can gain rep by doing bounties in pve while wearing their gear, but you need to grind crucible to get the marks.
