Do I need The Dark Below?
I have recently got Destiny and wondering whether I need the darkness below at all or if I could skip it when the next planned expansion comes out?
Would I miss a whole lot?
I play casually and enjoy co-op PvE so I wouldn't mind more story strikes, not overly impressed that you can get new gear, but I guess that's sort of the point of Destiny

You can go all the way to lv 30 with Vault Of Glass raid gear fully maxed. You only miss a few exotics and some legendaries. I suggest getting it because the raid is really fun and you unlock a ROC strike that is a blast to play! Other than that, it's not important now until you get like to 29 when you can hop into the Crota Ends raid. Good luck!
