Neither of those guns are even needed! I quickly shot back that requiring either of those guns for his group was ludicrous and that he was the type of person ruining this game for many. I wasn't going to help him complete anything, I was angry. I thought we were beyond this point in the game. I rage quit his group in a flurry angered curse words. I now dread having to find any group, that anyone can send me into an upset rage just because I don't have a Gjallahorn or Hunger of Crota. Many weeks early on we would get to Crota and not get it done. I didn't know hoc dropped from Crota cp only. Use valedictorian for all I care. We have enough Ghorns as it is. Hell, use NLB.

If I'm looking at LFG and see listings like "must have Ghorn" or "Must have Xyz..." it is a red flag to me to avoid them (I have 3-32s and all xbox exotics, all CE raid, most VOG raid, and a bursting vault of all 3 factions' weapons/legendaries) Most likely they are desperately trying to make up for lack of skill and they are having a wipe-fest - I've been in a few of those and no amount of ghorn/Hoc rockets is going to fix it - I've spammed rockets to try but that doesn't help a group that can't make it out of the crystal room without dying, avoid boomer fire, or make it to/from ogre room/etc.... Rockets is the easy part - pretty much anything will work Some sessions are legitimately doomed to perpetually glitch - I'm still learning when to give up on those. For VOG that is just beyond dumb (in regards to rockets) - avoid like the queen's brother...

I really don't understand the elitism from some of these people. The ones who demand certain weapons are the ones that should be avoided as it's quite obvious they have no understanding of a raid. Not everyone in the fireteam needs to have a maxed anything in order to contribute. Don't die and put rounds on Crota to help take him down, and you've fulfilled your role. These elitists are selfish pricks who don't give a rat's ass about anyone else. They're just in it for them and if you haven't been fortunate enough to get the drops they have then you are not worthy to be in their presence. And I'm cool with that, since I don't want to be anywhere near them anyway.

Only Christmas noobs will say must have Gjallarhorn or HoC for VOG hard. They also sometimes say must be 32...what?! It sucks that people even have to deal with these scrubs. Hope you can find some decent people to raid with but don't get frustrated just because of a few morons.

I saw something similar. 31+ for VoG.... NORMAL!! Seriously?!? I started a second account on PS4 and wanted to run VoG on normal once I hit 29 so I could get some weapons and shards (I've taken those for granted on xbone with 3 32's). I couldn't get into a group at all. Thankfully I've made some friends and we were able to run it. I actually helped three people who hadn't run it before at all get through felt good. But come on people, let's start using reason when creating raid groups.

I used to fire rockets at the Templar on hard mode. Usually only get one off because of the containment shield and slow speed. Now I don't equip rockets for any part of the raid. Well, unless there's someone in my group that doesn't have the gorgon card.

Really can;t stand the Gjallahorn snobs, it really is not requirement for the raid. I have a regular team that I raid with and only one had the Gjallahorn, and one had the Hunger of Crota, the rest of us have other maxed out RL's that do just fine. This week shoudl be interesting though as my wife got the Gjallahorn from the raid last week and has been working on it all week to get it ready for our Raid run on Sunday, looking forward to it!

I completely agree with you. I could hit Crota with a normal rocket launcher and we'd be just fine. Still waiting for HoC though...

Get the crucible rocket launcher valevdictarian(sp). Most important part about crota is having a rocket that will hit.

I have max hunger and a max gjallahorn and i hate when i go into groups and other people are discriminated for not having it. It just doesn't feel right when they're kicked for not having a rocket launcher that might not even be a necessity. Theres other ways tp take down crota's shield without em and you only need 2 people with rocket launchers anyway.

Ghorn maxed

Crota can be taken down shooting only primaries. I know I've done it before. But you really only need two G-Horns. If they double up it really doesn't matter what everyone else is shooting. For some people that G-Horn is elusive. I just got mine 2 weeks ago, and I'm a day one player. Keep grinding.

I don't have either, I do have maxed Dragons Breath and One Way Ticket though and they do just fine for me. Just cos they don't track does not mean they don't work. Just need a little more skill thats all!

I understand why people would need to keep asking for Gjallehorn, but it's also a hassle owning it, you get spammed invites from people you only pugged once with because they decided to add you, I have probably 100 Xbox friends but nearly 400 people following me....and not putting this up to brag, owning 3 gallerhorn a makes it worse because I can't use the excuse hey! Sorry don't have it on this toon
