Simply put that 1 extra mark you get after winning is meant to be your prize. Engrams and other,weapons and armor are just a bonus granted by rng

Simply put, you shouldn't be playing this game for the rewards. You should play it because you want to, because you like to, and because it's fun. Otherwise, go get Strange Coins and buy whatever you need if Xur sells it or get it as a possible drop from a Legendary Engram.

There also should be a vendor that you can trade 200 marks for an question mark exotic engram. The engram can be any exotic engram when you buy it.

This isn't pvp related but yesterday on a the Cabal Strike Level 26, a guy joins about 10 seconds before me and another guy kill Valus. No kills, no assists. Guess what he got? Legendary Primary engram. I was like what?!

As sad as it is you have to play crucible like I play it. I load up a match and then switch to watching tv and just move the joy sticks around and hit a couple buttons here and there. You get better rewards and one less mark for a loss. I don't know why more people don't do it.

Everyone should get something for participating in a match However I think a players performance in a match should influence their chances at obtaining better loot. Not by a lot though. Top of the scoreboard has an additional 5-10% chance at awesome loot. 2nd and 3rd, 3-8% Etc Bottom of the board has the same level of chance at getting good loot as is in the game right now. Performance has to be rewarded, especially in pvp in order to encourage people to improve and make everyone the best they can be. It's not a huge incentive to play your best but a lot of people would coordinate and try to learn the crucible if they had even a slightly better chance at good loot.

I think you have a point for sure, in fact I'm pretty sure Bungie have said there is an upcoming fix as even they have admitted the rewards simply don't add up to the time put in, my gripe with the reward system for the crucible is not so much what someone else gets but rather that in every game 2 thirds of the the lobby get absolutely nothing, I don't expect a legendary/exotic item every time that would be unbalanced but everyone should get something and it should not have to do with performance either, some people are great at PVP good for them! carry on wreaking everyone as its probably great fun but I'm not great at it usually I'm the one getting wreaked LOL, but the point is that "iSuckatthesegames24" who went 2 - 19 has the right to play the game and just because he's not a great player doesn't mean he should have less of a chance of getting an item at the end of the game. I've played hundreds of strikes, weekly's and Nightfalls been the only player to not die or get the most kills or whatever and not get anything of note for it meanwhile the other 2 will get an exotic and a legendary, its same principal really its the randomness that keeps you coming back, like I said at the start the big change I would like to see is everyone being rewarded after a game i really don't understand who at Bungie thought it was a good idea to have it the way it is now it actually puts you off playing the crucible, yes as some have said you get marks so what!! it takes 2 weeks to build up enough to buy a legendary, if play the ROC strike list for 2 weeks I'll get a minimum of 7 to 10 legendary items and possible an exotic or 2 and earn the same amount of marks so I can buy a legendary too, like all games that require you to grind there must be a reward at the end of the grind and as the OP has said there simply isn't one worth it in the crucible right now, hopefully Bungie will put it right soon.

I feel you completely man. I've literally played a crucible match (it was rumble i think?) And i placed second, only being a kill behind and i see on the feed "so-and-so420 found suros regime" so i assume the guy that beat me just got suros but wait...the rewards screen pops up and...the guy who literally sat in spawn all match got suros. He didn't get a single kill. Just died repeatedly while being AFK. It's kinda stupid how it works.

You would think you'd get some better rewards for the time spent in crucible compared to the rewards for strikes. It would bring me to crucible a lot more. Like give us some ascendant materials every few games maybe? Something!

So true my first mark of the unbroken match some guy on the opposite team got an ice breaker and I got nothing after going 29 and 0. The way rewards work really needs to be rethought
