So, every time there are a lot of people online (for example, whenever Xur is selling something or there’s a special event à la Iron Banner), the lag on the 360 makes Crucible completely unplayable. Here are a few examples that me and a fair few people I played with and/or spoke to encountered today (just today, mind you): Grenades rolling off after sticking or not just sticking in the first place. Heavy ammo disappearing after you’ve picked it up. Delay in damage given, so that an enemy can kill you a full two seconds after they’ve already died. Delay in damage taken, meaning that as far as you know, you’re not taking any damage at all and then it all comes at once. People not taking damage full stop, meaning they can take three shotgun shots to the face from point blank without dying. One guy even managed to take two Arc Blade hits, two melees and a Fist of Havoc despite being red barred to start with. People giving too much damage, meaning they can one shot you mid-super with a weapon with which they shouldn’t be able to (TLW, Fang of Ir Yut, Oversoul Edict etc). Guns stopping working (one player had his TLW do 2 damage per shot for half a match). Zones not possible to cap. Zones not stopping being capped. Radar not working. Special ammo not possible to pick up. Heavy ammo not possible to pick up. The list goes on, but the end result is your stats are completely skewed and screwed. To add injury to insult, logged too. Now, this is not lag-switchers we are talking about. Nor is this a connection issue on the users’ parts. I’m on a 250 Mbit connection. The other players were perfectly set up too. There is also, more importantly, no lag at all on next gen consoles such as PS4 or Xbox One when I’ve done cross tests on my connection as well as others’. So, what is it?
