I enjoy being in a clan, however, apart from only finding people to raid with easily, there isn't really an incentive to be in a clan. So, I have thought of a few bonuses for clans and their members, and wish to hear the public's opinion and even possibly make it a reality.
small bonus, like:
- increased glimmer when in an activity with a clan member
- increased experience when in an activity with a clan member
-decreased damage when in (X) proximity to clan member ( does not stack, does not affect damage from bosses, lasts around 5 seconds before effect wears off if distance from clan member exceeds (X) distance )
-increased damage to a single target when the target is also receiving damage from a clan member ( does not stack, does not affect bosses, lasts around 5 seconds before effect wears off if no damage is received from second clan member )
And why not add clan emblems? Not only for your character but for your weapons and armor? I would gladly pay glimmer ( a bit, not a lot ) to rep my clan on my hand cannon and helm. And have these bonus only apply to weapons and armor with the clan represented on them.
Thank you for your responses
note: the increase would be small, only slightly beneficial to a player, but not a OP bonus.
note: thousands of people play this game every day, without these bonuses, so it wouldn't force anyone to join a clan just to play.

Clan emblems and shaders. Bungie make it happen.

Could we take a more warframe approach to this? In the tower, we can have a clan requisition terminal, which can be used to create generators. Some types of generators; Heavy ammo synth- Creates heavy ammo synthesis for each clan member each day. Amount created per member depends on how much you sacrificed to create it. Ranks are (1/10/20) per member, and require (100/250/500) synths total to create. Requires respected rep. Materials- Same as the heavy ammo synths, and have to be created on a per material basis. Requires respected rep with the clan. Exotic Weapons- Clans can modify the perks on exotic weapons ( excluding barrels tree and exotic perk) and clan members can requisition the new version of the weapon. Requires 1 sacrificed exotic primary, 2 sacrificed specials, and 10 sacrificed heavys to create these. Requires honored rep with the clan to create. Only one per week can be created. Rep- This rep is different than other faction reps, and is there to ensure that people don't clan hop for the various exotic weapons that different clans have. Respected- Complete 5 raids, 10 strikes, and 5 crucible matches with at least one clan member. Honored- Complete 10 raids/ 30 strikes/ or 35 crucible matches with at least one clan member. New clan members, no matter their rep status, cannot buy stuff for one week. Clan Marks- Clan takes an existing design in the game, and modifies it. Also can place the clan tag anywhere on the mark.

That's not cool, I think clans are for MLG fans and braggers, so I'm not in one. Sorry, that's my opinion.

Iron banner clans have advantage, clan vs 6 randoms normally is a win

Edited by Swiftlock: 3/8/2015 1:40:29 AMGood intentions, but not everyone wants to be in a clan. Having clan members flat out do more damage and level up faster than clanless players wouldn't be very fair, no matter how minor the boosts are. Clan emblems on gear is fine, but nothing that affects gameplay. You join a clan for camaraderie, support, competitiveness, and fun, not to get a blatant in-game advantage.

Interesting!
