They should all in same grade, same powerful Exotic. When they sold in same price.
Buff Truth 1.5x damage or did 3 times damage (now did two)
Buff Dragon Breath with Tracking and a bit faster.
Then no one will keep asking for Gjallarhorn......
-
Tracking on Dragons Breath would be nice.
-
There already just as good
-
This is a dumb idea.
-
Add an ability called "dragon morter". Rounds drop homing cluster bombs that leave a solar grenade effect. Pretty much wolfpack rounds but with solar grenades and and damage is set of lingering, not initial impact. That way its par to Gjallarhorn.
-
Obviously you've never used truth. Agreed on dragons breath

Edited by UberLord Parker: 3/10/2015 3:09:09 AMI have all three... There's absolutely nothing wrong with Truth or Dragon's Breath. They each have their own perks which make them a little better for specific tasks: •Truth is the KING of PvP Rocket Launchers. •Dragon's Breath is great for large mobs of ADDs or static bosses. •Gjallarhorn is a PvE boss killer. IF you're not happy with Truth or Dragon's Breath then go get Radegast's Fury and re-roll it into something that you will... plus, it won't take up your Exotic Slot (I have a nice Arc version with Grenades & Horseshoes and Field Scout... works just fine in PvP & PvE).
-
Great idea. Make them all the same. Might as well change all their names to Gjallarhorn too. Or you could realize they serve different roles.
-
Nah leave Gally in its own class. People get pissed because its rare but every game has a weapon like that. Suck it up and grind. It took me 500 hours to.get it
-
In pve, truth is underwhelming, sad but true. Dragon breath? Difficult to buff it.
-
Buffing weapons... I approve this messages
-
No. Because they each have uses. Gjallarhorn melts bosses but dragons breath is better at destroying a crowd or high doses to non moving mobs like the templar. Truth is meant so you have decent stats and never waste a rocket by missing. Ever. Ps. A guardian who has all 3 exo heavier maxed out
-
Edited by Silvurphlame: 3/9/2015 11:33:03 AMTruth is fine as is. Dragon's Breath doesn't need a damage buff or tracking or cluster bombs or whatever. I'd prefer that it ignite enemies that are caught in or move through the blast area and have a little larger radius for the solar flare. That fits in already with its overall theme.
-
Edited by IIDREDDII: 3/6/2015 11:12:03 AMSo why is Truth like the God launcher in PvP? I mean if Gjallahorn was so good in PvP I would use mine in it. Truth has the PvP edge and Gjallahorn has the PvE edge. DB is good, you just need to know what situations to use it in.
-
All those posts by people who've been playing since launch and still don't have gjallarhorn give me life. Don't take that away from me.
-
Instead of having tracking for dragons breath, because that's not how it's supposed to be used, it's should fly extremely fast (have a speed of 125) and a longer solar flare duration. Truth is good, but it's projectile should be invisible and silent.
-
Or...instead of making weapon buffs, make all weapons actually obtainable instead of creating an artificial "balance" by having some weapons drop rate be higher than others. Example: someone who has put in 800+ hours into this game should have every weapon, period. (When a new one drops, of course it shouldn't be expected like THAT day, but within a reasonable amount of time).

Ghallarhorn, while amazing, isnt necessarily the best. Against crota, and strike bosses, for sure. Fights like ir yut, I much prefer dragons breath. If only for the solar flare, to control knights, and acolytes, and to force ir yut into a more manageable position. Now, since were discussing heavy weapons, hmg's have little to no love. This is mainly due to the fact that most encounters are mid to long range, and bring close to a boss, or certain majors is a death sentence. I am assuming house of wolves will change the way we see hmgs, and likely Thunderlord will become the new Gjallarhorn. With no solid evidence to support my theory, I can only argue that Bungie seems to place their attention in weapons that see little use, and the leaks we have seen so far show some cqc, and enemies like the fallen walkers with weak points more suitable for hmgs, and focused fire more than burst.
-
I for one think Dragonsbreath is better than Gjallahorn -bigger mag -fire rate -blast radius -damage to aoe groups -aesthetics -sight Oh noes it has a low velocity and no tracking so how ever will I snipe that one thrall from across the map??!?! MLG pro style cause you use a sniper rifle to snipe lmao
-
Only dragons breath needs a buff. Truth is the most dreaded launcher in the crucible. Truth is not worse than Ghorn just different, what Ghorn has in power, Truth has in accuracy. Just because it is not a stone cold boss destroyer in pve doesn't not mean it's bad. There are more aspects to the game than damage output
-
I agree the dragons breath should of had tracking like the truth and gallahorn
-
Edited by Rwar789: 3/9/2015 10:18:13 PMTruth is fine the way it is. The aggressive tracking and large blast radius make it the better PvP weapon. Gjallarhorn is better for PvE due to the damage output it can produce against bosses. The odd launcher out of the trio is the Dragon's Breath. It needs a bit of a buff so it can perform better in its role of area control. Either the blast radius and solar grenade need to be bigger or the solar grenade needs to last longer.

This^

-
All dragons breath needs is tracking. I would be happy
-
When everything's good nothing's good
-
Dragons breath does 100 damage less than Gjallarhorn and truth tracks harder than Gjallarhorn... Truth also has the same blast as Gjallarhorn... Meh
