Thorn
I recently just started playing destiny after taking a break for a couple of months and noticed that there was an update in which the Thorn handcannon was improved. However my Thorn was not updated and still had the original stats. Will I have to unlock it again or can this problem be resolved?

Edited by WoWXxXWoW: 3/5/2015 9:32:54 PMAfter the dlc was released, all exotics were upgraded to 331 attack, all pre dlc 300 attack exotics can be upgraded to 331 when xur offers the upgrade for that weapon, each week he has a random selection of exotic upgrades, you just need to check each week, requirements to upgrade are a pre dlc exotic weapon, 1 exotic shard (can be purchased from xur for 7 strange coins) and 7500 glimmer, don't fall into the trap that a lot of people have and take a dlc 331 exotic and upgrade it, all that will do is rest the weapon to base stat's and you will have to upgrade it again

Thorn was buffed with several other exotics. This buffed base stats, and works the same in regular crucible as a 331 Thorn would. (7 ticks of damage per burn). If you would like to reset it to TDB standards (331 damage), follow WOW's advice.
