Hey Destiny forum I haven't been playing much this week but I noticed that weird things have been happening with the golden gun super in pve and I want to know if other people have been noticing it or if Bungie has acknowledged it.
I'm used to golden gun not being really the most effective super but I know that it can take down a yellow health enemy either most of the way or all of the way in 2-3 shots. Post patch I'm feeling a pretty hefty nerf in its range and overall damage dealt.
My friend has also noticed pvp side that a max armor titan and a max armor warlock with flame shield can now also barely survive a direct hit with the golden gun shot. (I haven't played pvp this week so I can't verify people surviving registered hits)
(Seeing a lot of confusion: warlock have always been able to survive while in radiance that's their super. Apparently my friend is saying that if a warlock is using flame shield (melee hit gives you a protective overshield) you can now survive a golden gun hit where you couldn't before.)
This may be an unintentional nerf as a part of the hand cannon range nerf in which case I would like to know if it was really intended and not stated or if it will be addressed in a (Hopefully soon) patch as not being able to effectively use golden gun severely hurts the hunter class.
Edit: if golden gun is technically a hand cannon instead of a super then at least give us golden shotty mode for pve.
Edit 2: Can golden gun still break bubbles in two shots or does it now require three?

If that's the case in PvP then nothing has changed. A sunsinger with flame shield active has always been able to survive a single shot of gg.
