Why do you "need" gjallarhorn?
I recently completed a Crota's end on hard with two 31s(including my self). Only a couple of the 32s had gjallarhorn and no one had to double tap.
I personally don't know why we have people saying that you need it to beat Crota. The only time that's slightly true is if you're solo. Even then it's been done with Hunger of Crota.

I do not need it. Nor do I miss it. If it drops, it drops. I am content either way.

1 Replyi dont think you "need" it but i think people just like to go with overkill on that raid. Kind of how people say "32's only" You can do it with a 31 or 2 from what i have heard but its just easier to do with 32's that all have gjallahorn i guess. With the team i was playing with earlier i think only 1 or 2 had Gjallahorn and everyone else had HoC and i was only firing once and we still downed him fine.
