"Play how you want"

So I've been playing Destiny since day 1, I play more pve but also play pvp with over a 1.0 k/d on all 3 lvl 32 characters I have. I own almost all of the exotics and legendary weapons I want besides hawkmoon and thunderlord after hours upon hours of grinding. All that being said, here are my opinions: Pve is fun and what makes this game unique to any of the fps genre, but the content is starting to get stale. The reason to keep going into the game world is to upgrade guns or gear through bounties and that is about it. The maps for each of the planets are beautiful and vast but I only go to certain places because of bounties, dailies, or weeklies/nightfalls. I won't replay any story mission that isn't daily or bounty related because there is no reward to it. Pvp is fun and again the maps are great and the fps pvp element makes this game again unique to the mmo genre, but the nerfs/buffs constantly are going to leave some classes better than others, and the players will follow whichever flavor of the week is op'd, as noted by the rise in red death usage in the last week. My issues come in with the weapons that I have grinded to get not being as effective as some rare, or even uncommon weapons. I understand level advantages being disabled, to level the playing field, but I personally believe my suros regime should be more powerful than a Galahad e and I should have an advantage in that fight. Maybe the player using the rare weapons is just better at pvp than me, i can accept that, however what is the point of putting in the hours to get the better gear then? So then I find myself using thorn or bad juju or something like that instead of using what class I want so that I can be competitive. So my point to bungie/activision is this: Embrace what makes your game unique and nurture it. The replay value in your pve world is far more than any fps storyline on the market and can reward the pvp experience with valuable gear and weapons. Along those lines, don't completely nullify the potential pvp advantages that should be had with those tools gained in pve, it discourages playing the entire game and leads to boredom with the same activities played the same way over and over again. I hope more content is on the way that will rejuvenate the pve world. In the meantime, I will continue running my weekly strikes, nightfalls and raids in hopes of getting the exotics I want but, will also start working on cod zombies, far cry, dying light and games like that as the destiny content has lost the freshness that it had and has gotten to the point where I cannot gain much from constantly grinding. Any thoughts?

  • I was able to get my lock to 32 and then after that I was like well now what??? I know I can keep playing and try to get my raid helmet to complete the set and also try to get more exotics but other than that dunno. I have a lvl 31 hunter and a lvl 14 Titan so I still have some game left but once I get to my next 32 that question is going to come up again.... I know inferno is coming up along with another round of IB as well however that does not hold my interest as much as PVE does. Trying not to sound negative however destiny for me is hearing the steps of the other games I own catching up and saying "hey remember me?!?!? Play me as my content is old BUT its new again to you since you dropped me to the side when destiny came out." My other games want to send destiny home crying...
