Why don't we get more PVE events

Seems Bungie cares about PvP players more than PVE

  • That was made fairly obvious when PvE was only given ONE event (Queen's Wrath) a week after launch (when a large number of players were not at a high enough level to make much use of it) and even that included PvP focused content. A large number of Destiny players don't even know what the Queen's Wrath even was because they hadn't picked up the game before it ended. And yet there's been what, at least half a dozen Iron Banner events, at least as many "Bungie Bounty" PvP events, weapon tuning only happens when PvP players whine about how they're performing, bug fixes are focused primarily on PvP (and yet somehow it's still a cesspool of unbalanced crap). The only attention PvE gets is loot cave destruction, Raid Boss exploit patches, honestly from what I've seen the first and only positive PvE tweak we've ever seen is the recent shotgun buff to finally make shotguns actually do what a shotgun is supposed to do: maul opponents at close range. Beyond that, it's strict PvP favoritism across the board. Even the Mark-Material exchange rate was swapped to favor PvP. I finally hit rank 3 in the Crucible through biting the bullet and jumping into the most recent Iron Banner because even though the PvP's "ultimate test of your mettle" includes matchmaking, there's no such provision for Raids, so IB is sadly my closest bet for getting level 32 gear. Prior to that I was at rank 1.5 (roughly) in the crucible, and 1.25 of that was from exchanging materials for rep and marks. Then they swapped the exchange rate, and I only saw any progress when I HAD to go into the Crucible for exotic bounties. But the favoritism doesn't stop there. You can play literally for days on end in PvE. Outside of a strong bit of luck in your "care packages" from the Vanguard/Factions or an even bigger stroke of luck from the Cryptarch, you won't see ANY of the DLC gear you paid for. You know, the stuff with the significantly higher attack, defense, and light ratings. Go into the Crucible, however, and ALL of your loot has the updated DLC-level stats. And what about this business of buying gear? If you wear a Faction-issued class item and go off to do patrols or Vanguard bounties (PvE activities), you will gain reputation with that Faction. But you can't buy jack squat form them because even though they'll "reward" you for your PvE exploits they only accept Crucible currency. Yet again, PvP favoritism.
