The Stranger's Rifle (Exotic)

Hey Guardians, let me know what you think of this idea for The Stranger's Rifle to become an exotic weapon and/or bounty in the next dlc or beyond. [b]->[/b] Adjustments to the perks of The Stranger's Rifle include the following... [b]>[/b] [i]Kinetic Damage[/i] remains unchanged. [b]>[/b] [i]Smooth Ballistics[/i] and [i]Accurized Ballistics[/i] and [i]Smart Drift Control [/i]remain unchanged. [b]>[/b] [i]Full Auto[/i] remains unchanged with the bonus of [i]Rangefinder[/i] in one perk entitled [i]Fast Forward[/i]: This weapon can be fired in full auto mode. Aiming this weapon increases its effective range. [b]>[/b] [i]Speed Reload[/i] remains unchanged. [b]>[/b] [i]Hand Loaded[/i] is changed to Send It. [b]>[/b] [i]Fitted Stock[/i] is changed to Perfect Balance. [b]>[/b] [i]Rewind[/i] remains unchanged. [b]->[/b] If The Stranger's Rifle were to evolve and become an exotic weapon bounty, here's an example of what the list of requirements might be. Note, this exotic weapon bounty would be one of the few that can be acquired in PvE because the original rare pulse rifle was a reward for the completion of story missions. [b]> Step 1:[/b] Speak with Tess Everis to receive your exotic gift from the Exo Stranger for your epic journey so far. [i]Note, this exotic gift would be an exotic primary weapon engram for this exotic weapon bounty only.[/i] [b]> Step 2:[/b] Bring the exotic gift to Cryptarch. [i]Note, you will receive an exotic weapon core unique to The Stranger's Rifle.[/i] [b]> Step 3:[/b] Bring The Stranger's Rifle exotic weapon core to The Speaker and infuse it with light. [i]Note, this should cost 23 motes of light, similar to purchasing an exotic armor engram from Xur.[/i] [b]> Step 4:[/b] Kill 500 enemies with The Stranger's Rifle in Weekly Heroic or Nightfall Strikes without dying. [i]Note, you must get kills with the current rare version of The Stranger's Rifle to recharge the exotic weapon core infused with light. If you get kills with any other weapon or by any other means, your progress will not be reset; however, it will not count for the exotic weapon bounty. This quest can be completed in as many strikes as needed for 500 kills without dying.[/i] [b]> Step 5:[/b] Bring The Stranger's Rifle and one Exotic Shard to The Speaker to restore this pulse rifle with its recharged exotic weapon core. And there you have it! The Stranger's Rifle restored by the power of light and its exotic weapon core to become the newest exotic pulse rifle of Destiny. I hope you've enjoyed taking the time to read my notes on advancing The Stranger's Rifle to become an exotic weapon. Please bump this thread up if you like The Stranger's Rifle and my ideas to go along with it. [u]Edit 1: February 28, 2015[/u] [b]>[/b] [i]Full Auto[/i] has been combined with [i]Rangefinder[/i] to become the first exotic perk for this pulse rifle, entitled with [i]Fast Forward[/i]. [b]>[/b] Removed the final perk for three random explosive rounds from the magazine and replenishing primary ammo with orbs of light. [i]Rewind[/i] makes more sense for this pulse rifle and it compliments the new combo perk of [i]Fast Forward[/i]. [b]>[/b] Steps 1 and 4 were changed in the exotic weapon bounty to make the quests more believable. Tess will give you an exotic primary weapon engram sent from the Exo Stranger, so that you won't be finding it on your own by chance. Also, you will need 500 kills in a row with The Stranger's Rifle (Rare) in Weekly Heroic or Nightfall Strikes, because 500 kills of non-guardians could just be farmed on patrol.   • I like this very much, the only thing I would like to see change is that it gets arc damage. I mean...look at it...it should be as much as hardlight should be. I understand you all wanted to stray away from primaries with elemental damage but now that we have all these raid ones...why not make an exotic one have it.
