23 RepliesHard Light, Universal Remote, and Thunderlord will not be sold by Xur. These three guns can only be obtained through other RNG methods. As of now, Xur will only sell weapons that have already been revealed of his loot table.

Could still be done in advance via RNG. Changes could also be done based upon an update to any algorithm they use to determine it. Frankly, I don't care. What is going to come is going to come. He can't sell hawkmoon for a long time anyway.

2 RepliesIf it's proved one way or another about whether Xur is RNG, how does that knowledge impact any decision that any player makes? And if you were designing a game costing hundreds of millions of dollars, why would you make one of your merchants not RNG?

9 Repliesall these guys claiming xur is technically rng make me laugh. that's not the point, this guy's inventory has been set for months to come. whether it is rng or not is anybody's guess. what bothers me is that bungie has seen the shit that xur will bring but instead of changing it they say "-blam!- it, there's nothing we can do about it as DEVELOPERS of the game... but we'll make sure he brings that exotic engram tho" because you know.. they can change his inventory.. but they also can't?

1 ReplyI don't care if Xur is really RNG or product of some evil genious plan. What I want is that Bungie takes control of this guy (NPC) and makes sure he never again does stupid sprees like Sunbrakers month in a row. Rotate items, rotate engrams. Give Heavy Ammo every third week, do what what ever you see fit, but please make sure you will not piss on players most of the time. My personal belief is that Xur has randomly generated inventory which devs will accept as it is, or make adjustments if needed.

3 RepliesGood that Mega was right about data mined and inventory. Not a true RNG. This helps us know if we should spend or keep coin/motes for the next week. Bad that according to him GHORN is out of tables for now. And now that Bungie has a little egg on their face they will change servers to lock megamanex out. Or they will drop GHORN in xur inventory at last second to surprise everyone and discredit megamanex. Which would work out for the community either way.

1 ReplyThat means nothing. For all we know on Wednesday Xur rerolls items. You guys really don't understand programming and marketing in any sense. There would be a multitude of reasons for having the ability to see what he has RNGed before his showing. Making sure the inventory didn't glitch and bring up irrelevant values causing people to not have a full list of items, having a marketing team start working on images for social media, etc. All this proves to me is this guy is great at guessing, figured out how to see the upcoming inventory but in no way does this confirm Xur is not RNG.
