This is THE idea thread for Destiny! This thread is for the community to share its big ideas for Bungie/Deej to see so that they know what we want.
Here's how this works! Ideas are organized into 3 main categories: PvP, PvE, and New/Improved Features (A.K.A the Others category). Ideas from all three categories are separated into 1 of 3 status groups.
Status 1: Ideas In Demand. These ideas are the most popular through the eyes of the community. These ideas should be seriously considered by Bungie.
Status 2: Ideas In Purgatory. These are the bulk of ideas that the community asks for but are not the most popular or are new ideas that the community needs to decide whether the ideas are worthy of status 1, or are junk that should be moved to status 3.
Status 3: Ideas In the Trash. These ideas have been shot down by the community and largely decided as bad ideas, unnecessary, or would be a waste of Bungie's time.

Races get minor differences (i.e): Exo - Superb engineering allows robots to never grow tired, allowing for unlimited or longer periods of sprinting Humans - The natives of Earth, forced to grow in a wartorn area, their scavenging abilities give them a 5-10% increase to glimmer earned and a discount on all purchases Awoken - Mysterious methods and arcane knowledge grant the Awoken the ability to discover engrams at a more consistent rate. +1-3% increased chance to find engrams upon killing enemies.

This would help alieviate some vault space clutter. Also allow us to select a destination from planet side so we can cut down on load screens.

I was the original poster about sparrow racing months ago, and actually had a chat with DeeJ about it. The post was lost in time since this was before you could track your posts, but as an Eagle Scout, I wouldn't lie. I had ideas in the post like a large arena with obstacles and trip mines. Also in the post, I outlined my ideas for ship battles, a special mission set in the reef, with several sections of swapping from ship to character to do combat or move from planetoid to other rocks.

Keep it all positions is a boss fight instead. Only with the bounty. As a reward, is there a special reward. The hold of all towers are a bonus. (Example: More damage, more EP). Thus, the positions are interesting without bounty

They removed a lot of good ideas from this game a year before launch. This game won't benefit from this thread. It's good tho. It's good to imagine the awesome possibilities and potential this game has.

A crafting system. For example, if you put in a legendary auto rifle, 10 ascendant energies, a glimmer fee of about 1000ish, and out comes a different legendary auto rifle. (Idea inspired by grinder from Borderlands).

I have an idea for a weapon... Revengeance Exotic Auto rifle Ammo-40 no way to increase Main upgrade-Revengeance Any amount of kills in a magazine will increase the damage of the next magazine to a limit of 4 kills to reach maximum possible damage. Ways to obtain- Dropped as loot- No Sold by Xur- No The only way to obtain this weapon is a extremely rare drop from a Cabal Colosus that will give you a common weapon called "Revenge" which you will need to level up by killing Cabal and use an unknown item to upgrade it (haven't thought of anything yet) and it will give you the legendary auto rifle "Vengeance" which similarly to Necrochasm requires a special material from a raid which will then give you "Revengeance" Don't know if this idea is any good but I think it could be awesome

An idea I've had for awhile: We all know that it sucked having our Vault of Glass gear completely put in the trash once TDB came out and I have an easy fix for upgrading the armor and weapons to be up to par with the new raid gear. I propose that the upgrade screen have alternate tabs for each DLC. (Vanilla, TDB, HoW, Comet). For armor it would have 3 extra defense/light upgrades and for weapons it would be 3 damage upgrades. You would be able to unlock the new DLC upgrade tab only after the DLC's main story has been completed.

Here here's some dlc ideas My ideas for dlcs are The raid package- 2 new raids and 20 new weapons (including raid exotics) and all raid weapons being upgraded to the newest attack value. The vangaurd package- 4 new strikes and access to the vanguard armoury(1) with reroll perks that can upgrade those special legendary weapons (except the standard vendor ones)to be newest attack value, new vanguard weapons which are all colours and 2 new exotics built for PVE. And a exclusive level 32 strike playlist and a ROC strikes with custom modifiers. And a new nightfall strikes and modifiers leaving those who don't buy it just having a spare nightfall. The crucible package - 12 new maps, some for all playlists (2 for sparrow racing), access to the crucible armoury (1) with reroll perks that can upgrade those special legendary weapons (except the standard vendor ones) to the new attack value, new crucible weapons which are all colours and 2 new exotics built for PVP. And 5 new game modes (except sparrow racing). Plz bump Notes 1, the crucible and vanguard armouries give you access to by special green and blue weapons and drop 13 new legendaies and the blues have legendary perks like third eye, field scout or perfect balance.
