Selecting change character from the tower should bring your other character into the tower. Selecting change character from orbit should work as it currently does, bringing your alt character to orbit. This would make it so much easier to switch and access the vault. Ideally I would hope for a vault access option using the destiny mobile app, but this sounds like a much easier option to implement.
