Wasps around me!!!

So ever since this new patch came out yesterday, 2/24/15, i have been getting the code Wasp. This happens every time i try to play the game. It starts with a 76 Mb download and then kicks me off giving me this error. I've tried resetting my internet, switching to a wired connection, clearing my system's cache, and even uninstalling the game but no luck from any of these. I went onto the youtubes and found this video explaining that it might be because destiny is running off of peer to peer connections, which is mostly used for torrenting.

  • Hey bud! Here is what I was able to dig up on error code wasp. [quote]ERROR CODE: WASP This error occurs when content patches or updates fail to download. There are two possible fixes for this error: Power cycle your router Secure a wired connection when downloading updates To power-cycle your router, follow these instructions: 1.Exit Destiny and shut down your console. 2.Once your console is fully shut down, unplug the power supply from the console for at least 30 seconds. 3.Unplug the hardware in your networking setup and leave it unplugged for at least 30 seconds. 4.Start to turn on your networking hardware, starting with the modem, and working your way out to additional hardware. 5.Plug in and turn on your gaming console and launch Destiny. 6.Attempt to reconnect and play Destiny. If neither of these solutions works, please try deleting then re-installing Destiny to your console. Instructions for all supported platforms are linked below. Re-installing Destiny If you're experiencing issues where you download a 76 MB update every time you launch Destiny, please see our Bungie Help post on ways to troubleshoot this issue. • It was server side, not an update. This is on your side, and unfortunately, this has never happened to me so I can't tell you what to do.
