Simply put the crucible is filled with all kinds of over powered weapons, and the buffs and nerfs that bungie are implementing in the next upcoming patch should balance things out a bit, and Is taking a step in the right direction. Im excited for this. Can't even use a scout or pulse rifle without getting demolished by the last word or vex. Or getting killed with one shot 400 yards away with a shot gun or fusion rifle.
edit 1 to those of who that say I'm crying or complaining? I will not be feeding you trolls today. I will just simply say this. Across all three guardians my k/d for crucible is above 2.00. I have no problem using the last word, the vex or any other over powered weapon that exist. I do however hate how easy it is to do well in the crucible. I'm just saying that once this patch comes out ridiculous scenarios like getting killed with one shot 600 yards away from a fusion rifle or shot gun, won't be a problem.
edit 2 it's ironic I made this post awhile ago and thought the previous weapon balancing patch would normalize things in the crucible. Truth is it didn't change anything at all. But I have high hopes for the new weapon balancing patch along with the taken king that drops in September! Last word, and thorn getting some major nerfs. Shot package getting a hit and final round. What a glorious day it will be! Who agrees? Any body else excited?

No more Thorn camping assholes. Woohoo
-
They should release more buffs other than PRs and SGs like High rof rifles and give a 15% increase in Impact, so it can stand a better chance against other weapons.
-
I only use pulse, sniper, and rockets anyway
-
I agree with the nerfs for the weapon but I dislike the Handcannon nerf. Handcannons are life.
-
Petition to remove bullets from all guns please.
Bullets are OP. Coalition of anti bullets
-
No such thing as an "overpowered" weapon. They are made when the game comes out and are fine as is. People just complain too much...
-
Bad juju is gonna run shit in all facets of the game
-
You can use the highest RoF pulse rifles in crucible just fine. Takes a different gameplay style but it works just fine. The highest RoF PR's will be OP in crucible after the patch they can already out DPS most auto rifles if you are landing headshots.
-
Shotguns are just no fun to play against, no skill needed nor aim.
-
i kina agree with the nerfs but i don't like the fact that all auto rifles are getting nerfed in damage like low impact auto rifles should not be affected by this. It's already bad enough nechrochasm is trash and now its going to be garbage.

It should just nerf certain weapons *cough* thorn

Edited by GOAT Spartan: 2/24/2015 12:38:03 AMAll they could of done is buff pulse rifles to be on par with everything else and then people might just use pulse rifles more. But no they think they have to nerf eeeevery other gun to get people to use more pulse rifles
-
There are no OP weapons just UP players.

#nerfthenerfers

I just want to start blasting things to oblivion with shotguns in PvE
-
Agreed, i wish they had iron banner after the buff/nerf update, it would have been a lot more fun.
-
So, if the vex is a "fusion rifle" what are they going to change I wonder
-
I am looking forward to the balance. I really want to use my pulse rifles in the crucible without feeling like I am sacrificing the beifits of suros or vex. Just like every other game, there is never a perfect balance and we will ride the everchanging wave of buffs and nerfs till they come full circle. More balance helps make the game fun and competitive. Can't wait.

most likely a millennial

If it's easy to do well in crucible then a 2.0 KD isn't much to brag about, including mine, although I usually average around 4.0 KD or so
-
Shotgun = melee that needs ammo
-
i wish i had an effing nickel for every crybaby post you PVP'ers put up!! i could freaking retire #crybabies
-
I just hope that especially FUSIONS are handled right. They need a huuuge range nerf.

Edited by Slade: 2/23/2015 9:09:29 PMHave you tried the mida multi tool scout? Put all the agility/movement perks increases and with my high agility warlock, I love it in pvp. Kick some butt, looks like I'll kick even more butt with the nerfs, lol.

Have you tried B-Line Trauma? It's an awesome scout rifle with a high rate of fire. I've outgunned a number of Vex users with it. And as for the nerfs, I feel that some of them will hurt the game more than helping to put things in balance. It's great that pulse rifles are getting a buff. It's an underused weapon for the simple fact of being weaker than any other weapons. But some of them, I feel, will only suffer in performance and will end up being underused just like the pulse rifles. One that I particularly feel will suffer the most is the Auto Rifle. It's almost non-usable in PvE thanks to the previous reduction in base damage, and now it's receiving yet another reduction. Not really smart on their part. Now, if it was only gonna affect its performance in PvP, there really wouldn't be that much of a concern. But so far, from what they have posted about the weapon balancing, the only weapons that are being changed separately for PvP and PvE are the shotguns, whereas it seems that the other weapon types they mentioned will be nerfed across the board. If they can separate the stats for the shotgun between PvP and PvE, then why can't they do that for the other weapons? It would make more sense than nerfing them entirely across both.
