How can you get easily accessible shards?
Where can you get acsendant shards that aren't from public events and raids? I somehow made it to lvl 30. Scrapping tons of legendary items that I don't or can't use.
EDIT: I am aware that VoG is full of shards. I simply don't have the time to do it as often as other people.

Do the "Daily Heroic Story" on the hardest difficulty with an "Ice Breaker" everyday, this is the only reason I have been able to get a decent amount of acendent shards in order to upgraded my legendary gear and I find it funny how it is easier to upgrade exotics if you don't raid as it is easier to get the material; I only recommend the Ice Breaker if you are doing a "Daily Heroic Story" solo and have a good heavy weapon too. It won't always give you acendent shards, sometimes it will give you acendent energies which you will need to fully upgrade weapons. Because you don't seem to do raids or not much, you don't need to fully upgraded your armor unless you just want the best defense possible for what you have or you want to benefit from the maximum Intellect, Dicipline, or Strength your gear will give you.

3 RepliesDAILYS... Do the Daily with all three characters... SIX guaranteed ascendant mats/day. Could be energy, could be shards... it's still a crap shoot, but they're free. Farm Public Events... only one guarenteed drop per day per character, but you can still score them with RnG. Destinypublicevents.com If you have VG marks burning a hole in your pocket, buy boots or gloves from the Vanguard and shard them... two shards. IF you level them up with XP before you shard them (don't invest the glimmer, planetary mats, or ascendants, just level up the perks with XP) then you may get more than two.
